"...and you'll experience yourself in a way that has been buried under a lot of crappy conditioning..." -- This was extremely profound. Thank you so much for touching on this topic!

I literally told someone last night that Michael Vincent was my favorite slight of hand artist. She asked me why and I told her that the biggest reason is that there is so much more to Michael than slight of hand. I told her that even if he never touched a deck during a presentation, I would be impressed. I showed her the video you made yesterday and, dare I say, you have a new fan.

Living in the freedom of self expression is truly a blessing. Living in the prison of perceived expectations of others is a curse. May we all have the courage to leave the often self-imposed shadows of fear and walk in the wondrous sunlight of self expression. :)

You are probably the most well read individual I've ever heard in the entirety of magic. The bulk of my knowledge of books, sleights, techniques, theory and presentation, etc. in my magic and most of it comes from merely listening to you. Thank you!

This video is gold because we live in a society where everyone hides his true self just to please the other. That is something that completely destroys our true essence. Thanks for awakening my mind to think about this. And that routine in the end, it's a blast... i love the sting, it's a strong routine!

Even though I know some of the moves of card magic, I still am in complete awe and appreciation every single time I see it. The mastery just makes me smile and gives me such a happy and excited feeling inside. Add to it, some storytelling and some honest emotion and expression and it is one of the greatest experiences. Thank you for what you do Michael!

So great to hear you talk of Alan Alan recently, Michael. It rekindles the joy of being in the Magic Spot. It seems we were there at the same time. Me 10, you 15. Not that I had the commitment you did. The excitement of being there (and International in Camberwell) was unquantifiable. Alan was fantastic.

What a great video! Every time Michael uploads it’s like having a conversation with a best friend you love like family. There is a lot to think about and talk about from this video and I hope this conversation will both grow and continue. From the topic of honest self expression and willing to embrace what we believe to be true. I agree and support Michaels points of view and would like to add something I found to be something of great importance and value to the audience. As we become more honest with ourselves and the world around us we can also begin to love ourselves as well. Accepting all the good with all the bad. Any flaw or weakness or handicap or differences you have from others can be loved as deeply as any great thing we also think about ourselves. I may sound crazy but it’s true what we think we are. The words I AM. That is as powerful as saying abracadabra. You are given a command. You are summoning you are bringing forth. If your mind says I am poor, I am unlucky, I am ugly, I am hated.. and you put heart emotion behind those words you will always see all of those things all the time and nothing will ever change. Dear friends as we begin to look at ourselves give yourself new thoughts too. I am rich, I am happy, I am loved. Put your heart into these thoughts as well and you will see real magic and miracles appear right before your very eyes. Thank you Michael My love to you and your mother. Ricky Blevins

Mr Vincent you seriously impress, inspire, entertain, and educate me more every time I have the pleasure of listening to you. I'm a mentalist for a living and selfishly wish I could claim you for "our" side lol. Nice to hear thoughtful opinions clearly expressed. You've yet to say anything I don't completely agree with. Years, life, good times and bad, all should lead to wisdom and self awareness like this. You Sir are a treat to the world :) A true renaissance man. And as much as I hate the following expression the way it's commonly tossed around, in it's sincerest form it was meant for this moment..You are appreciated :)

What a inspiring video for all people. If you are authentic in your self expression & authentic in every area of your life it is such a rewarding & positive experience not just for you but for people that live this way also. It is so refreshing & rewarding for me when I deal with people who keep it real & leave the BS behind when conversing with me. I have 1000 percent of respect for people that are honest & authentic with me & value them immensely. This video is FIRE!! Thank you for being authentic & keeping it so real & honest. You are one of the people on my list that inspire me. Once again FIRE which I appreciate forever.

I like the old stories of the old magicians and the Alan Alan magic shop. Looked up what it looked like. It really reminds me of the joke shop that was in Northfields London, on corner of Little Ealing Lane in late 80s when I was at Gunnersbury School. Loved that shop as they had magic in there as well. Only went in a handful of times due to lack of money. Sadly it closed I think either end of 80s or early 90s and can't find any info on it now or any old photos.

Authenticity of and within oneself, both apart of one’s everyday life and within one’s performance style-focus and expression..... Wow! You’ve most definitely described this so very Michael, and given viewers such a depth of information to begin examining within their own performance style as well as their life outside of magic. Your explanation of your own de-escalation technique within social and digital-based conversations where the other party has already begun escalating within their verbal behaviour and language would most definitely be useful to many. And, of course... Amazing! What a brilliant and beautifully performed routine to use and show within the context of your video’s focus. Far, far, far above my own expertise, yet I am naturally in awe of your craftsmanship, abilities, prowess, and dexterity within this routine alone, as well as everything else I’ve seen you perform. While I have the opportunity, I must also thank you for your contributions within Alakazam Magic’s “Mastering the Classics” Class you held way back in 2017. Very insightful and so very well taught. Many thanks for conducting this class, and in teaching it so brilliantly!

I will not lie, it took me ten years to master the technique and another five years to feel comfortable with my expression of the routine. This is a technique that I practice EVERY MINUTE OF THE DAY. There are no off days with this technique. It’s always READY. If you are worried about how difficult it is then this isn’t for you. I say this only to focus your mind on what you really want to achieve. I knew I want to master this technique because I could see and feel it would be of great benefit to me in other areas, not just this routine. I hope this helps you. My boom explains my thinking I do not explain the technique because it comes from the world of gambling sleight of hand. It was taught to me by my mentors.
