I currently have the nitto ridge grapplers they look great and do make some noise but i have around 25k miles on them and they have gotten louder, i can still deal with it but im very interested in these please keep us updated as to how the evolve over the span of use, if they still quiet after a bit more wear.
@DerekBonzagniАй бұрын
Will do, as of now they are the best tire I've ever run. Silent at any speed, they ride amazing and give the truck a very connected / solid feel. I love AT's but even just a little noise drives me crazy in a truck this quiet. Are yours E-Ply? These are and that could have been the reason my Nitto recon LT tires had more noise?
@csgt500Ай бұрын
@ they are E plys. I have an average of 2.1kw/h i dont remember what it was when i had the stock goodyear but i have def lost range and now have more road noise than when they were new (ridge grapps)

These tires look great for being a highway tire. What pressure are you running them at ? I commented on your previous video about the Recons being too noisy and harsh. Was looking at other options that weren’t as aggressive but was wondering if the ride quality was smooth on yours even with the E rated tire. I do go off road in the rocks occasionally so I think I would stick to the E rated if possible, but just get an overall smoother running tire. An option I’ve seen is the new Bridgestone dueler AT Ascent which is still mildly aggressive but supposedly super quiet.

@@vr-tl9uh2 Thanks for watching! I do love the look of a more aggressive tire but I’m too ocd for the noise level while driving this super lux truck. This setup is silk, no noise, and smooth at any speed. The non E ply nitto recons felt too squishy even at 45-48lbs. These make the truck feel planted, my only issue is the loss of range which is slightly worse with this heavier E ply tire. I’m not sure how good it will be In the Tennessee clay or snow time will tell. I wish I could try every tire I would try the Toyo Open Country AT EV rated tires. You can’t go wrong with Michelins I just miss the more aggressive look.

I haven’t seen any reviews for these so thanks for the words. How are they on trail or gravel or forest roads??
@DerekBonzagni2 ай бұрын
My driveway is gravel, I have some wide trails on my property so far so good. I would say your limiting factor would be slick Mud / Clay since they aren't as aggressive like a true AT tire. I'm 90% backroads and highway so they are perfect for my lifestyle. I would try the EV rated Toyo Open Country AT's if you need something more aggressive they seem to get good feedback on the Rivian forums.

These will be the next tires on my F350. They have a higher load rating than most other tires and I’ve been a fan of the previous generation Michelin defenders.

What was your reasoning to move to the 275/65R20 vs the Platinum factory 275/50R22? Simply trying to buy EV tires for my 2022 Lightning Platinum that will last more than 30K. ? Any thoughts?
@DerekBonzagniАй бұрын
@@pmainster I wanted a beefier look with the level kit. The oem tires look tiny when you level it. The other reason is more sidewall for ride quality, farm use, and overall these are 70k mile tires that ride way better than the factory ones. The only negative is the Speedo is off with the larger size by about 2 mph, and range is slightly down.
