Truly, it is so full of incredibly kind, wise, hilarious, brilliant, fun humans and I feel so thankful. I got the impression from this vlog and the changes that you are making that there is a part of you that is resentful and feels like you have to share everything in your life. THAT is YOUR choice. We won't know what isnt shared. We also dont need it pointed out dramatically that you won't be sharing something! Just be quiet and leave it out! We don't need it pointed out. Your life is YOURS.

There’s definitely a difference between people being rude/mean and followers giving constructive criticism. I definitely feel like the constructive ones can help influencers grow. It’s no different than an actual friend doing the same thing and if you look at your viewers as friends, the constructive criticism, that’s given respectfully, can just be help and insight into things you may not realize is happening. You’re definitely going to come across differing opinions and some people are just going to be flat out rude. You can’t please everyone. But, you can block or remove people that are being absurd. And if it’s messing with you mentally, you may need to step away from the comments for a bit.

yeah, unfortunately, people always feel entitled to share their opinion--whether it's constructive or not. And that's pretty annoying when it's not asked for. Even if a friend does it. There is a place and a time for everything under the sun, including for unsolicited ''constructive critics.''

If you think critique is nasty, maybe this isnt the job for you. Viewers who agree with everything you say don't know you any better than those who state their criticisms. It's just a lazy way to complain about people not agreeing with you. "For trying on jeans"-- Michel, you know why people made comments about the trying on jeans clips. Pretending it was for absolutely no reason is really irresponsible and shows a lot of inability to take criticism. Maybe when people state that things are harmful to the public, it's good to take it into consideration instead of brushing it off as hate or nastiness. Obviously this is all my opinion, but according to you I'll just be a troll or someone being nasty. Oh well

Why was the jeans thing a problem? I'm racking my brains here as someone who has had an eating disorder on and off for her whole life, I'm coming up with nothing. I literally just watched that vlog too. Regardless, there's constructive critique - useful (but not required to be listened to), unconstructive critique - disregard. Call outs for issues - really important but again it's not required for the creator to listen. Then just trolling and my god does Michel get a lot of trolls in the dregs of her comment section.

Michel, I wish you could see yourself the way we all see you. Whatever you choose to do in 2023, I hope it brings you happiness. Slowly I am learning, someone isn’t going to like what I say or do. Someone will find fault with it. If God is pleased and my family is good with what I do, then I have to let it go. Live your life on your terms. My brother passed away in August suddenly and my sister passed away on December 10th after a three year battle with cancer. It has showed me if I didn’t know it before, wake up and live each day to the fullest. Let no one steal your joy.. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Oh dear. Just a huge reminder that we all have different lives with different hardships, and a 20 minute vlog doesn't cover the 24 hours of a day. You see a snippet of Michel's life and you absolutely have no idea what's going on behind closed doors. I personally have had the 3 years from hell, and to top it off yesterday I did soft tissue damage to my back and leg when I fell at work. This obviously impacts my income from my physical job. We are really tight on money as it is. And yet, I'm mentally ok and Michel isn't? Woah! It's like we're different people. Please don't gatekeep sadness and anxiousness, it's a really weird choice. The depression Olympics are one thing I hope don't continue into 2023.

This sounds like a great plan. I’m not a KZbinr (freelance art director) and I’m not in my 20s, but my plan for 2023 is somewhat similar. It’s so easy to let ‘work’ and the inherent feedback which is not always positive, suck your energy and the balance out of life. Here’s to space and time to create for its own sake! I actually always look for vlogs of just people chatting and doing their normal routines. It can be hard to find since so many people assume vlogs need to be about new adventures and social activities, etc. But maybe since I'm an introvert I have no interest in seeing "visually interesting" content. I see it more surface level and boring and even overwhelming when there are sooo many different things happening in one video and watching a bunch of montages over and over. I definitely see the benefits of that when looking for a place to travel or something, but overall it's not the videos I naturally gravitate towards. You balance your vlogs so well and I appreciate all the car chats and things you share as you feel comfortable to share them. Thank you for doing vlogmas with us!

Definitely embrace the goof! I’m a total goofball and I’m so glad my fiancé is the same way. We both always have so much fun whenever we go! There’ll be times where I notice we’re just in the grocery store laughing because one of us made a face or a stupid joke, and it makes me think “why don’t more people have fun doing mundane things like this?” There are so many people that have also laughed at us along the way, and I’m glad we can help bring a little bit of joy to people.
