Hi! I rarely make KZbin comments but hearing you say you’re disappointed after paying for audiobooks just prompted me to throw this out there in case you (or anyone else) didn’t know - most libraries now offer online catalogs of ebooks and audiobooks! So rather than paying for subscriptions like audible or buying audiobooks, you should check to see if your local library has an app that you can rent the books through. I listen to SO many popular books this way. It supports your local library & saves you money! Just a tip for anyone who enjoys audiobooks!

Yes! I use the app Libby and it's linked to my Los Angeles Public Library card. I'm not sure which other cities/states use that app but I'm sure there are a ton out there like it.

@christyp4264 totally agree, no wife should be banished to their room and kept happy with sushi. Even if no wives show up she should be warmly welcomed to join the rest of the group. My boyfriend recently had me at a small work party where no wives showed up and I was introduced and included in everything! That’s what I personally consider a healthy relationship, no one has to be left out, especially a spouse in their own home!

@@christyp4264 I had the same reaction as you to the "we're getting tacos you can come" comment but then I thought about it some more and Jordy works from home and is in the middle of recording an album. So it's almost like he was going on a work lunch and told her it's okay if she joins because, normally, he would be talking about work with his colleague. I think it's a little bit of a gray area because he's a musician and he works from home in sessions and holds odd hours which is typical in a creative field like music. So he gets grace in that aspect a little. I just really hope he's not pushing it too far in one direction.

@@christyp4264 And I totally agree that him ordering sushi was kind of to keep her away, as opposed to it being a 100% selfless reason. And deep down I think she knows because she not only told us it was a nice "surprise" but doubled down on how great of a gesture it was, almost as if she was convincing herself. And she added "I'll probably try to get some work down, I'm not mad about that" so we know she was either directly or indirectly asked to stay away and she's looking for the silver lining.

I don't want to read into the situation too much but it seems like communication was a bit off here, with Jordy ordering you sushi during his guy hang. This would be a great topic for your vlogs - how to work through the inevitable miscommunication that is inherently part of relationships. Shedding light on the strength of communication in your relationship and how you move forward after miscommunication will help others with theirs!

I think your stiff dough is a result of how you scoop flour. It should be spooned in lightly and leveled with a knife. You have it packed in the cup like brown sugar. No Bueno 😊

Just FYI you can sample audiobooks in audible! Before buying so you can not get a bad book. Also they do refunds within reason, so once in a while they’ll give you your credit back

As a MCAS person I avoid anything fermented or citrus. Very high in histamines. If you’re flaring maybe try to avoid since you work so hard and do so well on gluten free.

It's just amazing to see all that meat that you've ordered as in Australia it's so expensive. Alot of people simply cannot afford it. We only have red meat once a month as a treat. It's also the main item stolen from supermarkets to sell on the black market.

The early sunset and later sunrise is for sure the thing that makes fall and winter seasons a struggle to get through. It gets dark by 630 pm now and doesn’t even get light outside until just after 8am. In a week when we change times it will at least start getting light out at 7 am ish again (but only for a few weeks before it’s back to after 8 am). The 5 pm sunsets are sad because it’s like even before dinner time it’s already dark out.

I've been doing so many audiobooks lately. One book was ruined by a terrible narrator. If you use Libby with your library card, the audiobooks are free! So you don't have to risk buying an audiobook to find out it's a bad narrator

It’s hard to believe that you paid for culinary school and now paying a chef to give you classes privately yet you haven’t been taught that flour should be fluffed and gently scooped rather than packed. That’s why the dough was extra dry and crumbly. It’s honestly basic cooking.

I’m a voice note girl too we have a family whats app girls only we voice note and message but mainly voice. If I want to send a text message I can’t be bothered to type I use the dictation mic so I speak it apple types it. This works if I know the recipient isn’t in a place to be able to listen. They dyed dried corn husks cute colors and then filled them with coordinating colored beads that have been strung together.
