Have served on three juries , watched many televised trials, and I have to say Mr. McGinnis ( State prosecutor) has by far, given one of the best closing arguments I've ever heard. Even if I hadn't watched this trial daily, his summary, concise & factual, commentary backed up with evidence, clearly illustrates the many inconsistencies in Michelle Troconis's story regarding this crime. Beyond astounded that I see posts where people actually think Michelle Troconis is not guilty. And I agree with Mr. McGinnis. What are the chances that one person could have that many "coincidences" in such a short span of time? Not likely. I think the better thing to do here is imagine yourself as Michelle. If you were truly innocent, had no prior knowledge a crime was going to be committed, was not brought in to help destroy evidence, would you lie to the police? OR would you tell them every little thing you know, provide an alibi that can actually be substantiated? None of the information she gave police matched the video evidence. Number of trips to 80 Mountain Spring Rd, the time she went there, the time she left. The fires burning at her home that she was supposedly enjoying, while simultaneously her car is seen leaving the driveway and headed back to 80 Mountain Spring. I saw the interview videos, and how she tried to dispute the claims of the police. But people, video doesn't lie. She never mentioned the 2 fires mid-afternoon, only the one at 5:30 pm. Up until the video evidence was played for 5/24 , I thought there was a chance the jury might have reasonable doubt. But after the state played those video surveillances from neighboring properties, my mind was made up. Someone with no prior knowledge of a crime, would not automatically volunteer to help destroy what is clearly evidence of murder. And even if we say, she only helped after the fact, WHY? Why, in God's name would you ever rationalize that it's ok to not only take a human life, but to insure that person's family lives the rest of theirs not knowing where the remains are. These little deeds by Michelle are a window into her lack of character. Was she really that desperate for a man that she would help him murder his wife? And I don't feel sorry for her parents either, because somewhere along the way they played a part as to the person she is today.

Yes, well said! And WHY drive 12-14 miles each way to a bad neighborhood to dump (illegally) however many trash bags, contents including her bloody shirt & bra?! Especially since there is at least 3 CLOSER Starbucks?! I live in this neighborhood. The pond was right across the street from my home of 15 years, in Avon, at the time. I've followed this from DAY 1. Because in CT, more specifically Farmington Valley this was major news with news coverage ALL THE TIME. I watched nearby, on TV, and first responders desperately trying to revive Fotis. He didn't have a pulse, I believe declared dead, then they were able to get a faint pulse. Helicoptered him to Bronx, NY. Anyhow, I digress. I believe 💯% she helped I met her very briefly, she was RUDE. I work for a couple who's daughter, a local Attorney, went to Brown University with Jennifer, & they were friends. She & her children did horse riding, where they would see Fotis & Michelle, her kids were friendly with Nicole. She, of course, says they definitely murdered Jennifer.

The problem with a jury and with the public, is they seem to forget it’s always about 1 thing. That 1 thing is never a contest. The 1 thing is the truth. So fact is no one knows the truth and it’s pure guess work. Yep the defence was ordinary though the state was arrogant at times and I don’t like arrogant people in any field. Though as I said, it isn’t a contest. This is why the more I look at the system the more I see faults. I know it will never happen but I would much prefer 3 judges on every case. The jury just cannot be trusted. Nothing against you personally or anyone in particular but we know that many jury’s take too much into which lawyer they like the most plus evidence. The fact that the first thing you mentioned there was the state and they way they put it already makes me think, you either are banking on them or were swayed by them. Either way it’s not good. Jury’s cannot be trusted and that doesn’t mean judges can be. I just think they would be more professional without bias. That’s my take.

She didn't help him murder anyone, her whereabouts are nowhere near the crime at the time it happens. I do agree with you about her character though because there's too many odd things that she was in Tangled in that she had to have known what was going on after the fact.
@stevenprice69578 ай бұрын
@@astrialindah2773 She had to have known is your hunch and educated guess. There’s no real proof of that but yes agree she will get done for what you mentioned. After the fact. The first charge of conspiracy to commit murder is to hopefully nail her on the 2nd charge. The first charge shouldn’t have been allowed. In fact this case shouldn’t be allowed. It should have been halted as there’s no where near enough to send a person to trial. That’s my take. The jury will want someone to pay for something because the real killer isn’t hear to answer fir anything. He left a complete mass of destruction behind him. His ex wife the children his girlfriend his family his friends are all paying and will forever. His lawyer mate ? I have no idea. The fact he has been charged and there’s nothing to tie him and Michelle together just raises more doubt than there already is. She is the scapegoat.

Bad news for the Defense Attorney. the "It's not fair" appeal won't gain any traction in appellate court. he's going to have to show how and if her rights were violated, and personally I didn't see that. State Police were overly accomodating...3 interviews to give her the chance to tell the real story. Wonder how many other suspects get three interviews before being arrested? She refused a translator repeatedly so the whining about "no hablo inglais" is going to fall flat. She wrote her timeline in English. Most of her family members speak better than average English. So I guess Shoenhorn will be left to appeal the factual evidence of video surveillance, and cell phone data neither of which can be tampered with. Good luck with that!

She had to be desperate to want this evil monster to be in her life. Did she not believe the same ending would happen to end her life. "Amicable" divorce, said by her defense attorney, was either a joke or sarcasm. They knew, with his horrific temper, was not about to get his children. Everything his employee, Pawell, said was 100% believable. Fotis was a coward, first waiting for his small wife to return from dropping off her children and next, unable to face a trial and punishment for murder, took the easy way out, sitting in his car, starting it and breathing. The defense attorney stating, as a contractor, discarding "trash" in many public trash cans, is laughable. I wonder the number of times he had previously done that. Omg. The female prosecutor literally lulled me to sleep while driving. She lack vocal variety. Etc for a closing argument. Too bad as a good closing could have swayed jurors on the fence

This guy was incredible, I can watch this over and over. It was powerful and he really fought for Jennifer and won ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Who tried to use Jennifer's phone in the afternoon at the suburban though? Maybe Fotis left her phone there and someone came upon the Suburban and stole the phone at that time?

There is still the Lawyer co-conspirator trial coming up, unless he pleads out. He may have helped Fotis, all along? We’ll see what they accuse him of, it will be interesting.

Dead man’s trial. Fotis took truck to car wash. They confiscated Fotis’s phone so he used Michelles phone number

It's a shame the jury couldn't do a round of applause after the prosecutors closing arguments abt the 30+ "coincidences" against MT !! 👏

OMG they are going to lose this case just based on the fact that the jury’s gonna fall asleep during the closing argument I don’t think I’ve ever heard more boring closing arguments in my life

Why does the State get to divide their closing argument and the Defense does not?
@cathykenefick32558 ай бұрын
The burden of proving Michelle is guilty falls on the State so they get the last word.

also they are he was and she is a depraved looking soul who relished in the story of how she was killed also why the zip ties he didn’t kill her right away …not before his vengeance his talk with her unable to move - it is obvious what he did it’s why he could not live with himself - and this trick is character reveled in it . guilty , guilty , guilty …..

I think Atty. Shoehorn’s poor delivery for his closing arguments was not convincing enough because he jumped from one point to another. He used too many words to drive a point. He appeared like he didn’t organize his Allocution and Defense points so it could be lost n the jury’s mind. But you never know. A jury acquitted Casey Anthony despite overwhelming lies and inconsistencies. We shall see.
