I love this story of forgiveness. He left the band because they weren't big enough but he failed and the band forgave him and brought him back and they were able to help him fulfill his dream. That is seriously some Jesus-level of forgiveness. I hope I can be that big hearted some day.

As a Japanese Breakfast and BTS fan - Would love to see them collaborate...I know their music is on opposite sides of the spectrum, but it would be mind-blowing :) I am not sure Michelle dreamed this big?!?! Only after reading it did I discover the amazing things that Michelle did apart from writing the book, including all her albums. I loved discovering her art in this order because her book made me so emotionally invested in her and to finally see her succeed knowing her backstory is such a wonderful thing !! FIGHTING!!

I am so excited by this interview! Michelle Zauner's POV reminds me of a friend I had growing up whom I was and still am very fond of, Pam, who is half Thai and half Korean, who expressed not being very connected to her mother's side of the family, the Korean side of her family because she was raised by her father. I have spent the last 15 or so years watching Korean shows, and seeing women with diverse Asian cultures sharing their memories and art, seeing the media acknowledge these talented artists, show that the future is going to be bright. And that Asian Americans are going to start seeing celebrities that understand and can express their points of views and that they can relate to.
