Handy trick for opening jars -- if its not twisting, it's probably just a lot of sealed air. Grab a butter knife and stick it in between the cap and the jar. You'll have to dig it in there, but it'll release *just* enough air for you to easily untwist it! I have double carpal tunnel after I gave birth and I swear it's the only way I can get most jars open now 😆
@j69confessional4 ай бұрын
Easier tip. Squeeze the sides of the cover before you start twisting!

2:47 I have a jar trick for you for next time!!!! Take a little spoon and hock the edge of the spoon under the edge of the lid and press the spoon handle inwards! It will pop the middle of the lid like the compression will go away and it’s very easy to open🤗 it’s hard to explain properly hope it makes sense😂

I agree you need to pry to lid from the edge to release the air sealed and it should be easyyy to twist
@amiam89984 ай бұрын
There is also a spot in the twists on the jar which is "empty" which makes this hack so easy to use! Personally I use a flat head screwdriver, and never have problems opening jars.

Next time you're struggling to open a jar, use the hook on your can opener. Find the hook on your can opener. It typically looks like a small, pointed hook. Place the hook underneath the edge of the jar lid. Gently pull up on the hook. You should hear a small pop as the vacuum seal breaks. Once the seal is broken, you should be able to twist the lid off easily.

Hii to open a pot when you are struggling.. take a knife (like a butter knife or something like thay not one with rims on it) and carefully put it under the lid and then slowly lift the lid until you hear a pop after that you can just open it with your hands :) this way you release the pressure on the lid and its easier to open. My dad thought me it 😊

Ok jar opening tip: take the back side of a butter knife, and just smack it around the rim of the jar. It works a lot better. You can also buy specific grip pads for opening jars. They're marketed for disability, but they're a wonderful benefit for anyone with tough jars.

I hope I will get a chance to meet you when you do meet and greet here in the philippines. I wanna thank you for your hard-work. I always laugh when Michelle shows a full bowl of food and tells us it is a snack :D I wonder if Koreans out there are used to eating much more in terms of volume, cause noodles and/or rice are a staple at their traditional table and you don't count them as full-fledged meal base that gives enough sustenance. Loved seeing Michelle comfortable with the doggos in the new house and would be excited to see a house tour
