How to decorate your Christmas tree - Easy Steps
1. Pick a theme & colors for your tree
2. Unbox and fluff each layer and branch of the tree (also test the lights)
3. Add extra lights ( I love the Designers Excellence cluster lights)
4. Add Ribbon
5. Add Picks & Topper
6. Add speciality ornaments
7. Add ball ornaments

Cluster lights in the tree are brand called Designers Excellence in warm white color with green strand.
I used one 52 ft strand and two 25 ft strands for the 12ft (slim) tree.

First let me say…I have been wanting to start a you tube channel for the past couple of years…at 77 though thought it was foolish…but you know I recently retired and love to decorate and shop and cook and everything plus everyone is telling me to go for it…so as far as I’m concerned this is something I’ve wanted to do for years and never had the courage because I didn’t even know how to start…watching your video today as I always do,,what to my wondering ideas did appear from a beautiful angel with blond hair telling me all about how she set up everything to help…you are not only a blessing from God but I’m sure He sent you to me at that second to tell me to get off my bump and go for it….and you also said something about a program in January for more help…welll sign me up or let me know how to go about doing it….you made my day…on the side note I love, love, love your videos…they are so informative and last but certainly not least you have such passion in your voice and actions. I think I've watched every video out there for Christmas decorating videos. I absolutely love yours! My only complaint about the Christmas videos on the KZbin channel is everyone plays the same 3 songs over and over again. Playing Merry Christmas baby, Keep me up all night and making a Christmas memory over and over is like listening to someone tell you the same story 100 times a day, everyday. But your decorations and information is the best out there. No fake (baby sounding) voice, plastered hair, makeup or over the top dramatics. Its easy to see you're a natural beauty but your videos focuses on your talents... Just straight up decorations and information. Absolutely the best. Thank you for just being so real and sharing your talents with us.

First of all I want to Thank You so much for your first songs! I’m so tired of people having the same two or three songs, so boring! I loved the jazzy blues you played. Your tree is beyond magnificent. I’m not crazy about the top piece but it’s not my tree!! The extra lighting is really special. Your console table below the TV looks nice. I would turn one deer the other way so they’re opposite looking. You could also make the bottom shelves more holiday looking by putting some red and green decorations in them. Michelle: as someone who used to seek custom blinds and has had four kids, you should consider putting cord cleats on your windows for the blind cords. I know the blinds are behind the sofas, but the long cords can be dangerous if the kids play with them or get tangled. Not saying it’s going to happen, but better to be safe than sorry. Most people don’t know what cord cleats are, or that they can install them. ❤

Hello Michelle, all I can say is Wow!! Your decorations are absolutely beautiful. That’s a lot of work but you are definitely dedicated and it shows. My water heater busted and flooded the back of my house so I am currently trying to get it restored. I have been kind of down lately, it was pretty devastating. Hey Michelle, Happy Thursday. Since I’m currently living with my parents until me and my husband work our problems out. They have an artificial tree but I would love to have a snow flock tree when I get my own house again. ❤ I think the stockings look better in front of the bells because the way that you put the stockings you can still see the bells. ❤ I think either way you put the garland and the lights it will look good, it depends on the type of look you’re wanting to decorate with (whether you want simple or elegant). I do think that the reindeers on both sides gives it more of a elegant look if that’s what you’re going for. ❤ No I don’t have the viral home depot tree because I know if everyone is wanting it then there’s no way I will ever get my hands on it. 😂 I’m so happy for you that you were able to get your hands on the new viral Home Depot tree even though it was very hard for you at first. ❤ I think I’m fluffing the tree out because you’re making the tree branches puffy and full. To me unfluffing the tree means putting the branches up and putting it back into the box. Where can I find those beautiful lights that can make your Christmas tree look snowy even though you don’t have the new viral tree? ❤

Absolutely beautiful! I always love your Christmas trees and garlands! ❤ I call it fluffing the tree! And yessss I remember the tree that you had to add in each branch! My parents had one for many many years! I remember a lot of the branches being broken and would sag so my mama finally got mad enough at it to go get a new one! 😂 I don’t have a flocked tree, but I would love one! Yes that’s what I did too … my tree is flocked and I bought a new green garland for our mantle … so I used my old flocked garland around the green one and it worked perfectly.. but now I’m in love with your huge garland ❤❤❤

Hey Michelle! I have been following you since that very first year when you bought that flocked tree and I remember you telling the story about the disaster of trying to get it. I’m so happy to see you thriving and doing so well with your KZbin channel, it brings me lots of joy to watch you. I've never ever heard the term "unfluffing" your tree...only "fluff" and that's the term designers use also. You were correct!

Heyyyyy boo, absolutely gorgeous!!! 🥰 🥰🥰 This year we are doing a “Nativity Scene” this year! ❤ and instead of elf on the shelf, we are doing Mary and Joesph making their way to Bethlehem and end up at the Nativity Scene on Christmas Eve. Hi Michelle, I love your tree and mantle they are gorgeous! You are so gifted in your decorating, you have been inspiring me to try different looks on our Christmas tree. I'm very traditional when it comes to Christmas. I stick to gold, red, green, blue and silver and mix and match the colors. I fluff the tree too….never heard it called un-fluffing 🤷🏻‍♀️. We have a 10 foot and I do the top separate on the ground too. I hate ladders and do not even attempt to ask my husband to decorate the top😂. We were going to get a 12 foot (wish we had since the 10 foot looks small in our family room) but I knew I was going to have to decorate it…and fear of heights ya know. Growing up we had ones of those trees too, each row was letter labeled and took forever.
