Very nicely done. The Beta gain you illustrate has similar properties to some computations I was doing earlier today. If you consider a bike, the ratio between the petal sprocket and the rear wheel sprocket creates a multiplier gain that then turns the rear wheel.

hi..is it compulsory to put resistor at the base for the transistor to function?..how about if not put resistor?
@MichelvanBiezen5 жыл бұрын
It helps to control the current to the base. (It is not compulsory, but we typically do so).

Michel van Biezen what happen to the transstor if not use resstor, is it the transstor will burn or damage?

Good algebra problem Michel, good practice problem for anyone young or old, appreciate you showing it. I have worked it a few different ways and quickest way I have found is to see that all 3 equations have Ic in them, so sub Ie = Ib + Ic for Ib and Ie to get all 3 terms in Ic, the Ic's cancel, 2 step process instead of 3 steps for other solution methods. Great stuff!
@gabrielemastro7918 Жыл бұрын
Wich difference is there between beta and hFE? Actually they have the same value... but they are different... in what is it consist of?
@MichelvanBiezen Жыл бұрын
They are 2 different names for the same thing.
@gabrielemastro7918 Жыл бұрын
@@MichelvanBiezen pheraps Ic=beta Ib ignores the revers current Icb0... viceversa hFE takes count of this in "forfait"... so Ic=beta Ib is approximated expression becouse the correct is Ic=beta Ib+ (beta+1)Ic0 ... indeed, Ic=hFE Ib is not approximated......
