We will likely hit the transfer portal and go after a transfer QB to start next season. Bryce is unbelievably talented and has all the tools, but from my understanding he is just now learning how to read defenses coming out of high school. That doesn't really matter as much in high school where your talent alone can be dominant. But in college he is gonna have to learn how to read defenses and he isn't quite there yet. Let him come in and learn for a season and have him start when he is ready. He may be a fast learner and could start next year. But if he isn't ready don't rush him. But man once he figures out how to read defenses it is game over for the B10 no doubt!

Sherrone has to do what Jim Harbaugh did but way sooner! He absolutely has to revamp the offensive coaching! Campbell had however many months to prepare a quarterback for this season and he literally struck out 3 times! Throw some of that bag at an OC and QB coach! O Line hasn't been great either but when teams know we can't throw and everyone crashes down to stop the run I guess u can't really tell what kind of line u have. STILL! SPEND SOME MOORE MONEY!!!

Another novel idea: Try to actually get a proven OC with a good background. Check out Campbell's stint at Old Dominion. #1 overall player in his class and we’re paying him $10M+. He will be our starting QB lol
@mattdrewdrums2 күн бұрын
@jonmiller9836 No. The best, most prepared QB will be the starter. If we start him week 1 of his freshman year, that will very likely come with growing pains. And, if we have a QB like Miller Moss competing, who is more prepared, then he should start. It could be like a Trevor Lawrence situation where he steals the job mid-season. Or, maybe Underwood does look good enough to start week 1. I'm just saying we shouldn't FORCE him out there if he looks unprepared just because of what we paid for him. But, of course, this all rides on whether or not we get a good transfer QB. If we don't, then yea absolutely he starts because I don't forsee Jadyn Davis, who will also be inexperienced, looking better than Underwood in camp.

I don't think you understand how this stuff works. This is an NIL deal, not a contract for a roster spot. You cannot put a "salary cap" on sponsorship deals for NIL. This is not a pay for play contract, this is purely Bryce Underwood making money off of his name, image, and likeness, and nothing more. If the NCAA tries to impose limits on NIL, they will laughed out of court.

@@gabeswitala2292 except you literally can't regulate this. It's against the law to do so.
