Or bailing them out of jail, and hiring attorneys when their kids should sit their ask in jail. Uggh!

I don't watch videos like this because I want to. I watch them to honor those that died, were traumatized and their families. It's painful to watch, but watch I will. Madisyn and Tate and Hana and Justin are in my thoughts. Your lives still matter. To all of those touched by this tragedy, my heart brakes for your suffering. I pray for you, that you come to a place of peace and know joy once again. There is a hell side to life in this world as you (and I, also) well know. As a survivor of tragedy I can say, there is yet goodness in the world. People who love. People who care. Beauty and joy. Focus on all things good and worthy. To focus on anything else isn't worthy of your time or effort. You are not alone. You are loved. ♥️🙏

I couldn't imagine how the families feel that lost a child, brother, sister, or grandchild, as well as those that were injured. This is a life time reminder and heeling process they all will have to go through until death do them part. I understand the hurt, but I don't understand the pain because I have never lost a child, sister, or brother. Listening to all the impact statements read, there were hard words to express how that 15 year old has torn their lives completely up. I know I could have said the same or worse, however in the end, I would have to forgive the shooter because holding hate will eat you alive. Forgiving him is the families peace, however, they still have to live with the hurt and pain for life. Get this shooter out of your life by forgiving him because GOD has each of you. God is who he will never get away from. Please free your hearts with forgiveness, and allow God to do the rest. I can not imagine losing a child!! God bless you all, and allow him to hold all loved ones together.

His parents are sketchy. He had drawings and notes pre-meditating this incident and teachers found them in his possession AT SCHOOL prior, failed to do their due diligence and here we are today. I think the school should be held accountable as well. They obviously ignored huge red flags and could have done something. Instead they always take the easiest way out and do absolutely nothing. At this point, the public school system should have a mandatory step by step guide for when a student shows signs like Ethan did. The parents hold some responsibility too. They should have had this child in counseling or evaluated before he was aloud back in school. It is absolutely crazy to me that we are going into 2024 and the kids in this nation are growing up in a society where NOBODY cares and EVERYONE from the schools to their own parents would rather look the other way and take the easy way out than implement common sense practices to solve issues like school shootings. Ethan may have done this horrible action, but where the heck were the ADULTS? There is an old saying.... It takes a village to raise a child. So the village should take responsibility for their failures of this child and for those children that they've lost. I do feel extremely bad for the parents that lost their babies. I can't imagine their pain. It is my worst nightmare, as I have kids in public schools and all of the public schools around here are exactly the same. They look the other way when kids skip school. They give out grades for just showing up so kids will be able to easily pass their classes. They look the other way when a group of students are in the bathrooms vaping and doing drugs. When kids actually do get in trouble, the parents are not notified. Why? Because that is the easiest way out. Because doing nothing is easier than doing something. These are the villages that our kids are growing up in. 💔

These victim impact statements are becoming far too common & harder & harder to muster the rage that burns within me, that these acts of violence continue to happen to our innocent children's lives in their most innocent place, school. A place where children should feel safe while learning, & not have to constantly look around & wonder...when are we next? When is our school next? Our children are like sitting ducks, unprotected, where they should be protected most. I recently caught my son's school in a security breech, when it came to my innocent 7 year olds safety, & the safety of the other kids in his class. As a parent I was beyond furious, yet even more furious when I was met with, "oh its not a big deal attitude," by the school social worker. I attempted to call 3 local "educational" attorney's that day & all 3 worked for our local USD school system 👀. You can waive all the red flag 🚩🚩 warnings in an attempt to sound the alarm that the school needs to tighten up, but at the end of the day, they are just ignored & I'M the one that's made to feel like I'm crazy. 🙄 Don't forget, it takes a village! See something, say something! God Bless these family members & friends, whose lives have been forever changed. 🙏 ❤

Exactly and I think the schools should be included in that as well. These days the schools would rather take the easy way out than actually take action. It should be mandatory to report these things at this point. It takes a village to raise a child. So it should be mandatory for all teachers, parents, and faculty to be notified if a student is showing signs of depression, violence, etc. Then it should be mandatory if a child obviously needs professional counseling, that they are sent home with the parents and can't return until the child has visited with a professional counselor. If they dont return because the parents refuse, report to CPS and let them open up an investigation into the parents and find out why they aren't getting the child the help they need. Obviously it's not a one size fits all thing, but there can be common sense practices put in place that would prevent things like this from happening. The biggest problem is that the ADULTS are lazy and don't want to deal with it. 💔

How desperately sad. I thought the judge sounded a very kind capable and fair man. It is nice to know that they are still out there and in positions of authority, male or female. Those statements certainly did have massive impact and all those concerned and hurt by this person's actions well, It's beyond imagining. Thank goodness for the only sentence that was possible and thank goodness. It was delivered so clearly no ambiguity there. I'm beginning to see that. I pray for the families and the friends. The loved ones to heal and to come to know each other and be stronger for it. Because their loved ones are still with them because they carried them in their hearts and they carry them in their souls. God bless all.❤

The main culprits are Ethan so call parents ! And I hope this tragedy ignites new laws that held parents responsable of their children under 18 years of age. Or should be automatic jail time for those parents of children under 18 yld who commit similar crimes. As per Ethan made a choice. He needs to deal with the consequences whatever they are going into the future. Even if he gets to get out of prison at some point, he will never have a normal life. Nobody, will trust him. He will forever be alienated from society.

What kind of life would Ethan have even if he did get out of prison? He will never be trusted again and people will fear him for the rest of their lives. He will always be alone. Sounds like a punishment to me but I am not defending what he did or the sentence he got.

I’m all for him going to jail for 25-life bud no parole? He was 14 when he did it. I thought here was a law or maybe it was just a certain state law that says you can sentence a minor to life w no parole? I think 25-30 years is definitely enough. It’s a little unjust but he did something only a monster could do l..
