Josh, I have listened to about a dozen national podcasts since the game finished yesterday Michigan beating Ohio State, I have to say that yours is the best of all. The reasons are you have given the most accurate measurement of what really happened in that game. Many people have not given Michigan credit for having much better coaching by Sharone his coaches as well as much better preparation by the players. Also, Michigan’s coach coaches and players had the best game plan to beat the team they were playing on that day, Ohio State. You are right that they are tougher, physically, and mentally and were prepared so by their coaches. That is Michigan’s culture! Even though their talent was probably only 70% as good they one because they have a much bigger heart. They all bought into the Michigan culture, promoted by all the Michigan coaches and the program that they must be the strongest toughest and being willing to Will themselves to victory. Thank you for seeing through the details to come out with the most correct and truthful message.

Michigan was missing their best players. The starting 3 corners were all 2nd and 3rd stringers. The safeties haven’t tackled well all year. @DaManAWu7 күн бұрын
@@tramayneford3190 that’s part of it. Interestingly, if you look at stallions notes on Day, OSU numbers went down after Michigan learned how to block their signals from being stolen. Day had all of Michigan’s signs from his first year but struggled when both sides were signaling right before snaps. That’s more of an indication that Day isn’t a good play caller. This last game was a good indication of that. OSU should had thrown the ball all game to those great WRs. No way any prior Buckeye coach loses that game with the talent gap. Thinking back to that 2006 match up, Tressel went 5WRs to keep Michigan’s front 7 off the field and that coaching decision made the difference.

Why do we keep hyping up Ohio State to no end? Yes, they have ridiculous talent at WR and most skill positions, but they're a slightly above average o-line at best and were dealing with losing several guys there. This team BARELY scraped by Nebraska in a game that Nebraska completely shut down their running attack. Add in the rivalry, and the fact Michigan's strength is their front-7 and specifically the two NFL DTs Grant and Graham. Michigan dominated the trenches, yet again. The other thing I keep seeing is folks pretending Ohio State was this high flying passing offense. They usually run the ball 30-35+ times per game. I think they definitely made coaching and playcalling errors given the context and direction this game was headed, but it wasn't like they abandoned their usual gameplan. They probably should have abandoned the run and went to a checkdown offense but it was windy and Michigan was pressuring Howard on every dropback in the second half. I'm glad you're giving Michigan their props, not sure anyone could've expected a Michigan win here, but the formula for a close grind-it-out game was clearly there, it played right in to Michigan's hands and Ohio State got a little tight.

He stopped Chip Kelly from playing fast and exploiting Michigan’s disadvantages on the perimeter and in the secondary, instead running right at Michigan’s Strength, trying to prove how tough he was to Lou Holtz. Unbelievable is All I can say. 2) Ryan gets one last chance thanks to the 12 Team Playoff. He needs to get out of the Fing Way and let Chip Kelly run the Offense because Day is too timid and full of self doubt. He totally lacks confidence so let Chip Do his thing without interference and see how far we can go in CFP. 3. If Ryan Day can pull himself together Ohio State can still win the NC. Unfortunately for OSU it doesn't look like Day is the guy to break out of the current streak. Saturday's game especially, had the worst coaching I've seen in a long time. The Bucks literally should beat this Michigan team by 20-30 points.

Michigan’s home, Daddy’s home. And Ryan Day goes home wearing a dress again. Go Blue!

I agree with the overall talent stuff but those 2 1st rd D tackles for Michigan were the best 2 players on the entire field!! The other 2 1st rd guys didn’t even play GO BLUE

I don't agree, they are not really that much more talented than Michigan. Everyone just over hypes them each year 😂😂

@ they are this year. Michigan lost a lot to the draft last year

It should be pointed out that it's not just a Michigan problem. It's also that Day has lost in the playoffs and lost bowl games outside the playoffs. They have lost to quality our of conference teams (i.e. Cristobal coached Oregon team). Day's great winning record is almost exclusively built on going undefeated against the rest of the Big 10 and easy out of conference games. If that is what Ohio State fans want then fine. But the Day track record is becoming well established as to what you will get from him.

They need to give Ryan Day a long extension!

You spend 2 million dollars on your roster, Michigan is 6-5, and there Quarterback throws for less then 100 yards and Ohio State still loses SMH SMH SMH, and the funny part in all of this is Michigan has a legit Quarterback coming in next year and they are gonna be way better
