Not only that, you rubbed it in unmercifully. You were/are also supported by the Media who further infected the wounds, you delighted over tattoo gate and then jumped on the "death penalty" group who sunk the Buckeyes even further. It's going to take a while to get over that but I have to tell you, it's getting close. Your administration thought they had it solved, honestly I feared they were right. Now, after it's obvious that the decision was faulty the next move is on them. I won't sympathize with you fans as long as the Administration keeps adhering to bad decisions. Here's what we know, we don't need Michigan to give quality to the B!G TEN, we have that with several other teams that are improving fast. If Michigan is going to ever get thier act together they need to stop the false HYPE and do the work of restarting. You have nothing to be proud off, stop thinking you do until you do.

When Michigan responded with a long strike down the field on the first play from scrimmage I felt a stir of hope ... and then an over-throw of an open receiver in the end zone followed by a fumble. And I turned the game off. I was only surprised at the final score by the fact that Michigan scored at all. I wanted to believe. I still want to believe. The blame lies at the top. Buckeye alumn here. I truly enjoy your show. Thank you for what you do and how you do it. The feelings that you, and the rest of the Wolverine fans, have now are akin to what Buckeye nation felt in 2006 and 2007 when the SEC absolutely burned our "Christmas" to the ground, then urinated on it while laughing. It's indeed a very large, awkward pill to swallow. Eventually it finds its way to the depths of your psyche, both individually and collectively, where you deadbolt it into its own dark, little room and melt the key. The Wolverines will be back at some point. There were glimmers of hope in that game with the Badgers. Nevertheless, that deadbolt will rattle on occasion, like at Iowa and Purdue for us, to remind you of the fragile nature of 18 to 20 year old kids playing a kid's game with the weight of a nation on their backs. My advice, as many have said before me: embrace the suck... not in a platitudinal sense, but truly embrace it. Because eventually their will be reason for joy, and that level of joy will be equal to the level pain you have experienced - ying and yang. Good luck, sir. Good luck, Wolverines. And GO BUCKS!

That has nothing to do with anything....they are only allowed by NCAA rules only so many practices and time length of those practices
@lucasrizor32515 жыл бұрын
Doug Dreyer rrriiigghtt ;/ then why did they actually have practices in both France and South Africa. So they still used up practice time, but half assed it (which explains a lot). And even if they didn’t, somehow that prevents the players from studying the playbook, tape or voluntary player only practices? Your either a program focused on winning FB games or your not.

Doug Dreyer which just goes to reinforce my second point. Instead of being SA for a week. The players and coaches could have been working towards implementing the new system. Players, through voluntary workouts, tape sessions, etc.. coaches by idk, doing their job and preparing for the season. There’s a reason Clemson, OSU and Bama don’t do this crap. Couple thoughts from OSU fan here in peace; 1. I know how you all are feeling. I lived through 2-10-1 Cooper era. 2. I watched the Wisconsin game and was saddened that they gave that effort after a week off. 3. Read somewhere that Harbaugh didn’t spend more than 5 years at either Stanford and SF. And for the success at those two stops nobody misses him. That was telling to me. 4. Shocked about the Gaddis hire with only 20 minute phone call. If true, that’s criminal. 5. To lose is one thing, but to show no passion from the outset is the part that would hurt me the most. You are right Steve, any win over Rutgers is irrelevant. Best of luck turning this around. Michigan fans deserve better.
@kayealinke5 жыл бұрын
Agree completely!! As a buckeye, I have been through the tough years and tough losses. But I always had faith it would get better and it did, because I knew they could play tougher, and it would matter. I was worried last November that the buckeyes would get outplayed but they showed a lot of passion that day and it built up with each success they had from offense to defense to special team players. It was contagious. The lack of passion can be contagious too. Each person in TTUN locker room right now needs to hold themselves accountable starting with the HC. Go Bucks!!

I cannot believe we are here 5 years later. I’ll never forget December 2014 learning Jim Harbaugh was returning to his Alma Mater to save Michigan. I thought our long nightmare had commenced, but no no no no no. This hellish nightmare is now more lucid and surreal and reoccurring. My love for college football has been destroyed a little bit each year trying to support this program. The last time Michigan won an outright big Ten Title I was just19 years old....I just turned 35!!!
@ChrisHebert005 жыл бұрын
Over the last 15 years, fans have tried to point the blame at many different things. First it was the players. Then when the players changed but the losses kept coming, it must've been the coaches. Then when Michigan changed coaches, it must've been the AD. Well Michigan fans, I'm here to tell you the hard truth...and you won't like it because it'll hurt your pride and it will require you to point the finger at somewhere you don't want to point it. Over the past 15 years players have changed, coaches have changed, ADs have changed...hell, even the Presidents of the university have changed. You all like to say that when the same thing's been happening, it's time to point the finger at what's being held constant. Well there's one constant left. Michigan. It's Michigan, folks. It's the students, it's the alumni, and it's the fans. It's what makes up the culture that is Michigan. It's the absolute stupidity that the fanbase spews. It's the "anyone can win 70% of their games here" narrative that hurts the school. It's moments like when Steve said "they view Wisconsin as an inferior, historically." It's the fact that you went into a game against a great team like Wisconsin...and viewed them as inferior. It's the fact that you thought Wisconsin's history would somehow play a part in the game. It's the delusion this fanbase has when it romanticizes the Lloyd Carr era over this because they're blinded by one fantastic season (where he had a legendary team). The Lloyd era was so great because you beat OSU sometimes? Okay, if we could get a carbon copy of Lloyd back, I guarantee that within a few years the new narrative would be how inconsistent Lloyd's teams would be. Don't believe me? You must've forgotten what it was like. Harbaugh can't beat the big teams? How about Lloyd not being able to keep teams from stumbling vs an opponent ranked about 15 to 20 spots lower? Or maybe not losing to a couple random unranked teams every year? With Harbaugh, it's that he hasn't been able to beat the teams that were better. With a Lloyd-like coach, it would be that he can't stop losing to the teams he should beat when the championships are right in the palm of his hand. It's the fact that Michigan fans don't think of this. They just spew nonsense and blindly demand change all the time without an actual solution to get BETTER. Just throw out change and see what happens. Michigan's offense needs to find an identity...but nothing will change until Michigan's culture and supporters find their identity first. It's time to point the finger at yourselves this time, Michigan fans...because you're the last constant in the 15 year slump.

I couldn't agree more Chris. I was listening to Rich Eisen back in February on Pardon My Take and Big Cat (who's has had Harbaugh on the podcast numerous times) said that he think's Jim is in trouble at Michigan. And Rich's answer was just this arrogant rant about how Ohio State takes ridiculous training methods to prepare themselves for the game and that its over the top and ruthless and whereas Michigan doesn't feel that way or prepare for Ohio State like that because its "unlike Michigan tradition". Eisen also stated that Michigan's goal each year is to win the big 10, get to the Rose Bowl and that he didn't believe that road would require beating Ohio State each year. ??? It does go through Ohio State! Every season!, and then he continued to talk about The John Cooper days and how that wasn't a problem back in 1990's for Michigan College football has changed drastically over the last 15 years and the teams that have adapted have been successful. Michigan hasn't and they''re too arrogant to realize it. If they don't implement a change they will continue to get the shit kicked out of them by Ohio State each year. (Here is the video by the way, Rich Eisen's response is basically every Michigan fan/alum that is delusional: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eoW0nqV5bL6nqMU

Michigan is too big a team for one game to truly slay their whole brand but I think we've entered critical territory. For a long time the winged helmet did most of your recruiting for you. A bad season here or there or an occasional ugly game was never going to threaten the historical success of the program or the way people viewed it on the whole. But when you pile up enough consecutive letdown seasons and get hammered in every big game... I don't know how true that is anymore.
