Its not completely out of the question. As humans, we only exist in OUR timeline and basically know very little about how time works. I believe TIME could be a PLACE. Also if time travel creates branched realities which I believe it may, there would be infinite timelines. We could be living in reality 16,948,004 for all we know. Also political events and even personal events could be altered by time travelers but we'd never know it because it would have created a split reality.

Why do people never discuss the most obvious problem of having successful time travel. You have to know exactly where you are in the universe to ever return to where you start whether future or past makes no difference. Let me explain simply. Besides needing that starting location, you have to know the exact rate of speed which our planet travels, and in which direction it travels, in relation to what rate of speed our sun moves through the Galaxy, also which direction it moves, the speed of the spin of the Galaxy is also a part of the equation as well as the soeed the Galaxy itself is traveling through the universe and it's direction. Imagine the incredible difficulty of charting a course through time. Time travel is the exact combination of words to describe what you do. You travel, in distance, as you move through time. Imagine trying to do any of this when you have no idea where we are in the universe. We would have to have available a precise map of the universe or there could be no return to the place you left. If you did try to anticipate where you were going to land, in the future or the past, you had better be damn sure of your calculations or with just a very minuscule deviation, you would reappear deep in the Earth or up in the sky. Understand what I am telling you here? There is no magical machine that automatically phases through space time alongside the Earth as it speeds through the universe. By the way, the numbers given by scholars and scientists for these speeds is very fast. Each object: i.e. our planet, sun and galaxy, move at very high rates of speed. They travel, not in circles around each other, but, in routes most easily described as what DNA llooks like. Heliacal? Twisting through space as we follow our sun, which moves within the Galaxy, which is traveling through the Universe. Time travel possible? Sure! Practical or feasible? Not until we become much more knowledgeable in virtually every aspect of science relating to space and physics. Thank you for hanging in there and reading this It might ruin time travel movies for you, though.

charles robbins If one effectively peels back all the dimensions of reality they can indeed fall out of time and become a skipping stone on the waters of no-thing. In the Carlos Castaneda books it is referred to as 'stopping the world'. What one realizes by becoming a skipping stone is that nothing is set in stone. If time travel is possible it means someone stole all time and made it their own story.😂
@samgeurdi63515 жыл бұрын
charles robbins That is solved by being tethered to your original location when time traveling. Such ideas has been discussed with comics character teleporting or phasing through objects. If you can manage to time travel like that you’ll have had time to solve all other problems too. Your time travel problems are more a Dr. Who thing. Even Star Trek teleportation has the same complexity knowing where the atoms are and how every subatomic particle is moving to safely dematerialize and rematerilize you. There are other factor to consider too. When you suddenly arrive at a unknown location you have to take into account you had a certain speed or velocity to begin with. If you’re motionless and suddenly pop into existence on earth your body will feel the force of the spinning earth of 900km/h with winds gushing at you tearing you apart. These are problems that will surely be solved in no time.
@jacobfridell51655 жыл бұрын
Sam Geurdi If there ever is a time travel 'device' created then these problems are 'already' sovled. The truth though is we are already in a time travel universe, to me it seems we can't one up that being the pillar of being itself. We can suppose anything with equations and theroy, but there are aspects of being that are unchanging to our acquiesce. Just as it is near impossible to suppose anything before time other than the apriori form of being or 'uncarved block' to move the universe by pushing buttons on your device also seems pretty far fetched. I would love to be proven wrong because that would mean we successfully broke the universe.😂 The movie'12 Monkeys' is a worthy watch, but if this were real I bet it would turn out way wickeder.

@SkepticCat-pz1zz5 жыл бұрын
Rod Rockettubes there is plenty of factual information out there about our orbital speed and rotational speed the number I quoted are reasonably accurate out orbital speed around the sun is actually 67,000 mph. As for my time statement that it doesn’t exist, that is a theory of mine that my physics professors couldn’t answer. Time is a human construct, it is simply a calibration created by humans based upon our rotational speed as a convenience. A clock second hand moving doesn’t prove time exists, it proves that the clock is working. The only time that can exist is now, for humans in this reality the time is always now. Any portion of the construct known as time (eg. 1 second) can be mathematically divided infinitely so there is never a point in time where time exists. The bigger puzzle is reality in a universe made up of atoms and energy where all atoms are made up of essentially nothing, where electrons can exist in more than one place at the same time. Since we are made up of billions of electrons, does that mean we can exist in alternate realities at the same time. Check out quantum physics / quantum entanglement it’s here on KZbin.

To travel backward in time requires the universe to revert to the position everything was in at that chosen moment to be a complete representation of that time. Think of the implications of the newly born child being unconceived, planets reversing direction, rivers returning to their source, weather patterns reverting, rain going back to the clouds, your pulse running backward. Yes, it's absurd, but a requirement to keep the status quo of the moment if time travel into the past were possible.

Of course, it is possible only via quantum entanglement (faster than speed of light) and quantum tunneling. If it (time) can be slowed, it can be reversed.

I serverely struggle with the concept of forking timelines (and parallel dimensions in general). If travelling to the past entered into a fork, presumably the exploitation of time travel could create infinite universes, and with infinte universes there'd be infinite science buffs time travelling into new dimensions and as such, we'd expect to see something in the order of infinity ppl entering our time dimension which would just be one bloody mess. A big mess for all the infinite universes. Plus we shoulda seen these super futuristic time travelling species enter our world by now. Thought experiment... If you slice up the whole Universe into individual particles, and reassemble them to how the universe was 10 minutes ago, did you just travel into the past, or did you continue moving into the future with a reconstructed universe (resembling the past)?

If only "now" exist, we could return to the past, but nothing physical exist there, no shapes or forms are possible for us unless we became part of then somehow. But if we had became a part of the past, so are our thoughts. Problem is, can we take a single quantum particle out of this dimension and transfer it to another universe, because i think that would be a really bad idea, for both realities, or time is simply just a figure of imagination. Imagination is the key for understanding phenomena of time, not collapsing stars, in principle we could unwind a clock, but never stuff our dreams are made of.

No. Measurement of "time" or duration, can vary. But revisting events or experiencing events that have not happened, is a self contradiction. Unless there ar infinite parallel time lines, which is kind of dodging the bullet.

If time travel is possible, then where are the travellers from the future? Are they not interested in 2019? Based on the parallel/alternate pasts theory time travellers could've already come here and given us all of their technological secrets without creating a paradox. So where are they?

So, I have a doubt..... time travel to our past is not possible because we can't change our future. If we agree with that, our destiny is already written since, due the paradoxes, we cannot change our past and on the consequence, our future.

To understand time travel, we must understand time. I will now attempt to construct a model to explain time, space, and states - the three dimensions of existence. Time and space are coordinates of existence. Time tells us when we exist and space tells us where we exist. A state of existence tells how we exist or the conditions by which our existence is created. A state of existence captures both the physical conditions and the metaphysical conditions or the meta-state. Remember, we have defined reality as a place you exist and is changeable by you. In this model, reality is split up into two planes of existence, the physical plane, and the metaphysical plane. So to capture the conditions of a state of existence, we must capture both the physical state and the metaphysical state. For the physical body, it could be as simple as the body at rest or in motion. For the metaphysical plane, we will define the conditions as the exact relationships between all of your identities in the meta plane. In the simulation, every possible state has already been created by God, we merely choose to manifest these states into existence using our intelligence. Take for example when you are at rest. You can choose to walk or to run. These are different states of existence, but you are not creating a new state with your choice, rather you are calling an existing state into your experience. To say this in another way, it means that we cannot do anything that God has not already given us the power to do, and the simulation already contains every possible state. We live in God’s universe and every possible state has already been created. We are creating our story by choosing which states to manifest into our experience. In Schrodinger’s Cat, the conclusion says the cat is both dead and alive. This is flawed and requires clarification. To be accurate, you must say that the cat exists in two separate states, the state of being alive and the state of being dead. The vial of poison is either broken and the cat is dead or the vial is intact and the cat is alive. There is only one experience. However, the cat does exist in two states and it does depend on the action (breaking the poisonous vial) to manifest one of these two states into the experience. So, how does all this relate to aliens and time travel? First, let’s ask the obvious question. Why do we even need time travel? If human civilization advances to the point where we COULD travel through time, would we? Why wouldn’t we just keep going forward? Why would we take such risks? Perhaps, it was the only way. For this concept, I will tell you a brief story of human civilization with a few key assumptions. 1. We exist in a computer simulation and the story is about how humans became God. 2. We are the only explorer in the universe. 3. Time is infinite, but the story has a conclusion. Let’s imagine for simplicity that God created the simulation to last for 100 days, and on day 99, we achieve the capability to time travel, and unless we use this new capability to go back to speed up our own innovations, we will run out of time! So we send out an “alien spacecraft” to visit ourselves at different points in our history to share our technologies and speed up the pace of innovation. With our three-dimensional model of existence, at every point in our history, we exist in the state of NOW. Time and space only tell us the coordinates, but the state will capture own our consciousness, identities, and self-awareness(the “I”) at every point in our history. Without the state of existence, we would not know where the present moment is located and time travel would not make sense. With our current capabilities, we can move through space, but we do not move through time. Time moves at a constant rate and we create our story by choosing which states to manifest into reality. God is perfect, so everything God does has a perfect and beautiful reason for existing. We sought the capability to time travel because it was necessary for our own survival. We had to go back to share and give back to ourselves, and in doing so, created the necessary conditions for our future selves to access the right idea to create more time, to create a whole new universe, and thus by doing so, became God. As for the details of the Big Bang, I will leave it up to you but it would probably require the ultimate sacrifice to get to the next level where you can manifest any state.

dispongamos ordinariamente parsec, unidad relativa.

There are two kind of time travel. One is by the light of the past and the other the immutable slow of future. That’s it.
@jsmariani41803 жыл бұрын
One just needs to go a lot faster than another or be closer or further to a large mass to experience time differently. GPS satellites need to be adjusted to account for these relativistic phenomena - a very small amount. For a significant time differential, you could travel to Proxima C. at an average speed of 99% of the speed of light and then return. A little over 8 1/2 years will pass for earthbounders. You would age considerably less. The "catch" is that we have no current technology to accelerate to such speeds.

What i don't get is how are you to go back in time without you being effected? Wouldn't turning back time also revert you to your younger self? How do you protect yourself from your own time machines effects, even more puzzling is preventing all of space from reverting along with you. How do you keep the effects localized? Furthermore, If you could create A wormhole into the past, a "time tunnel" if you will, then what's to provent you from overshooting your destination, going back too far? In movies, you always see some kind of dial device, usually in the form of the clock, but that seems slily to me because you can't pinpoint a place in time like you could on a map like in the movie "The Time Bandits." I could go on, but my point is that even if time travel is possible, the numerous factors and problems involved prevent future humans from attempting to go back too far, or use the process at all.

If time travel is possible and it is with the quantum multiverse, then if you go back and create a major change then that means you have already gone back and made the change that created that multiverse, hence you are truly making the change it has already been made.

Traveling into the future is not a problem, all it requires is you travel at some velocity. Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity denoted that Time slows the faster you go, with respect to the space you are traveling through. But, traveling BACKWARDS in time is something else altogether.
@thunder71355 жыл бұрын
@Tracchofyre I think you travel to a parallel universe which is IDENTICAL to your universe up until the point in time you have traveled to. Everything from there onward will then change depending on your actions. But of course, this is just a theory.

The only way time could go backwards is if we were actually in a matrix type world or if you went into a different dimension that moved at a different pace from your own when viewed from the outside but seemed the same when in it so u would enter that universe after figuring out when they align to be the date u wanted to get there assuming all parallel universes started the same but u make different decisions which affect the timeline making them different

Well, Dr. Kaku, consider the concept of space travel, call it displacement, or causing motion or motion that caused it to be. then Time travel is time travel, it is a displacement to be caused.... but by what? mediocre figure heads? struggling philanthropist? politcians looking to be deitified? no sire, it is the man who knows what he is doing, I just cannot muster up the courage to confess to my reality of interacting with people based on utmost honesty, as if I considered someone worthless, I couldn't deceive them based on my actions, they felt it even though I was just trying to avoid them but the very act of avoiding them revealed the secret which was reason for not approaching them, because I am not thinking about them. the causality in our temperaments, like imagine the immense value of conceptualizing time travel, would you think Ali to be giving it away on line? because microsoft offered no security or protection from seeing my ideas stolen as soon as they are generated... like I discontinued paying for office 360 because I can't get to that point where discovery could transform into claim... it is like being robbed during broad day light, you can't see but you can see after all.

I know this might seem far fetched but, I don't think that that it will take millions of years to figure things like interstellar travel, or time travel out. That might seem like a reasonable prediction, but that's thinking linearly. Thinking exponentially, like ray kurzweil, I would assume that these types of technologies are probably only about 100 years away maybe 200 or 300 at the most. I think that a century from now we will be a type 2 civilization on the kardashev scale.
