During Dr. Michio Kaku’s lecture on Physics of the Impossible, he discusses popular technologies in science fiction from a physics perspective and what it would take to make many each one a reality.
In this first part of his lighthearted talk, Dr. Kaku (a frequent host on science shows for the Discovery Channel, PBS, and author of the best-selling book ""Physics of the Impossible"") introduces the topic of the impossible by reminding us that many of the advancements we have made today, including airplanes and space shuttles, were considered to be impossible at one point in history.
SCI FI or SCI FACT is part of a major lecture series at ASU on science presented by Beyond, the Center for Fundamental Concepts in Science. A center at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Beyond seeks to create new and exciting ideas that push the boundaries of research and to answer foundational questions in science, and explore their philosophical ramifications of what might be called the big questions.

Yes, he is quite adept at converting technical language and ideolgogies to a more standardized, communicable level. Pretty charismatic too.

Why are there so many videos debunking this man? They are actually very funny, and I wished he had to courage to debate some of the producers.
