the camera/screen option is allowing it to pass through; it goes in one side and leaves out the other. and to bend the light around the object is much MUCH harder. its easy for the meta materials because they're so small, enlarging it would be almost impossible unless you use an electromagnetic field like in the large hadron collider to bend light around an object, and that field would use up millions of dollars a second.

Observation is a key to knowledge. Some fish in water using jet for propulsion already millions years ago then in gas need make similar with EXPERIMENTS. Yours invisible waves (as GPS) in your invisible cloth to stay such way invisible. Maybe nature naturally already has entangle parts of genes to use for own stability and other we do not know yet. Do you agree that entangle particles (atoms, electrons, photons) are another state of matter like plasma? Also do you agree that anything moving with speed higher as light must use 5th (or higher) physical dimension, which should have explanation in Kaluza-Klein theory for 5th dimension description? Boundaries of impossible is only level of my Universe knowledge!

there is an easier way to create invisibilty, a cloak of extremely tiny screens and cameras in a pattern that show whatever is behind the object onto the front of the object so it seems that there is nothing there.

11:48 He mentioned Star Wars movie! Why am I so excited? After decades of STRONGLY saying that there will NEVER be another Star Wars film...George Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney for about $4B dollars a couple of weeks ago & he said that it's time for someone else to take over Star Wars. I watched Star Wars around 2009/2010 after decades of hearing about it and now it looks like there will finally be another Star Wars film but now he said that it's time for someone else to take over Star Wars.

Dear Dr. Kaku, your interpretation of 2001: A Space Odyssey can't be father from the truth. The monolith isn't a virus, they are sent by a super intelligent species at crucial times in the evolution of the species under subject (in this case, the homosapians). The monoliths hold a message which upon touch is unlocked as it awakens that species. The 1st chapter of the film is about the dawn of man, 2nd chapter about the evolved human race and technology in space, 3rd chapter, the final voyage..

My previous post was not meant to suggest that M. Kaku is a fanatical scientific purist himself or that he would make a bad leader. I simply don't think that intelligence, even brilliance, is enough, in and of itself to qualify someone to be president. Its a desired quality but not the only one. Personally, I am a firm believer in the separation of church and state....human beings are too flawed to combine them.
@dbf421
@dbf421 13 жыл бұрын
Science, from a certain point of view, is a religion. The religion of discovery. As with all religions there are fanatics that lack an acceptable moral center. It is a byproduct of humanity that such individuals exist. I would be just as wary of a fanatical scientific purist, as I would of any other fanatical religious purist when considering him or her as a potential leader. Ultimately, intelligence and wisdom are not, out of necessity, akin. I'd need rigorous proofs of his ability to lead.

ok, biblical stories aren't there to tell the exact story, they're metaphors, theoretically speaking. I'm not a very knowledgeable person. You, speaking about these mathematics stuff to sound so smart, are wasting my time. There's a big big difference between intelligent and knowledgeable.. well, i guess you're knowledgeable, but not that intelligent. You can't even distinguish theory apart from Law. Computers may have full memory and handling capabilities, but no computer can think for itself.

nope, for a "presumed" theory to be a reality, it must be proven in detail and in "actual" form or in series of documented testings. God doesn't belong in the category of physics but in religion. But in the sense itself, God and Theories are parallel to one categorization, both are "unproven". It means there are still people who doesn't believe His existence. I believe in God, but I'm foremost seeking to prove him.. so dude, I'm with you.. :)
@VanKlaunch
@VanKlaunch 15 жыл бұрын
I'll respect your opinion, but I think you have a misunderstanding on the word "theory". A theory is most esteemed scientific solution there is. There are no REAL facts, we are limited by our biological sensory organs, there's so much we can't detect, and what we can detect is only a distortion of the objective fact. However, we muster up theories and more importantly, equations to back up the theory so as to mutually fit in with all other science by means of logic.

@UnforgivingCritic Careful with that wording. A theory can be tested thousands of thousands of times. God can't be tested as a theory. The gravitational theory, is just a theory, but no one disagrees with that, do they? Comparing god to a theory is ludicrous. God would ride along the lines of an hypothesis or an assumption.

Knowing priests and barristers I find this joke terrible but I like Michio Kaku. Some SF movie ideas become real. It would be the Holly Lands that in the "Planet of the Apes" is the nuked "Forbidden Zone" I hope sometimes. Not that I like killing religious people but how otherwise evolve away from irrationality.

@regreg88 Theories cannot become laws, laws are mathematical. A law can help to describe a theory, but again they are not the same thing. An example of this; The theory of gravity contains the law of universal gravitation wherein the formula calculating the velocity of two objects based on their mass and distance can be determined.

@apostolisxa - a solar sail, from how I understand it... is a bit like a big solar panel, that absorbs light and converts the energy to propel space satellites or spacecraft. It kinda looks like a wind sail cos they have a large surface area, but they work very differently, of course!

Bending the light around, or allowing it to pass through (or around to be more precise, as is the case with 'meta materials') an object, is much better than having cameras (in back) and screens (in front) of an object. The latter is to complicated.

Interesting video! I am an artist on You Tube trying to promote my theory on the dynamics of light and time This theory is based on two simple postulates 1. Is that the quantum wave particle function explained by Schrödinger’s wave equation represents the forward passage of time or Arrow of Time itself photon by photon 2. Is that Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle ∆×∆p×≥h/4π that is formed by the wave function is the same uncertainty we have with any future event

The eye works only in present (it sees the present), the ear predicts something in the future (after lightening sound is in the very near expected). And the mind works both in present past and future. We don't see objects as they were before: stars, planets, galaxies...., we see them as they are now. Your vision is not limited, not restricted by any body. Unlike your ears (how fast you hear), your vision speed take just a moment, to see how the farthest objects doing right now. You are created (evolved by designer functions). You can see the farthest object as it is right now, but you cannot hear what sound (probably very destructive or killer sound) the object is producing. If we were able to here sounds as they occur, and as we see lights and objects then we don't exist, the sound disturbs us very much. Lights do no disturbance or just little disturbance, and of course every body knows the farthest the light the less your eyes feel hurt. So, we can see light or objects in light as they are now, regardless their location, but their sound reach to your ear later (probably). But, your eyes are not limited by speed of light (c). Why not? we don't know for sure.But, we are sure that what we are observing exists now and only know because we don't know what happened in the past and what is going to happen in the future on the object.We Don't See Back In Time as we don't see future in time.

So, our eyes see only the present not the future and not the past. If i were able to see the past, i would be great magician. why because i can show my past activities one by one through /in space. Right?thanks.
