The Cosmos in your garden are beautiful. All of your dresses are lovely. The detachable frill is a clever idea and really compliments the neckline of the dress. The Tie dress pattern is interesting. Whilst I do like the one you made, I agree that it would look better in a solid fabric. Happy sewing, Michou and hello to His Lordship.

thanks Laura. I also think that the Tie dress would be better if it was shortened a little. Personally, I think it's a bit too long. So I will likely be shortening it to a better height for my size. 😉👍😘

I think as a other viewer said..."it needed to be shortened to suit me!" I felt the same so I plan to shorten it and see how that looks.

Please check your blood pressure. And increase your water intake, and maybe add LMNT or Celtic salt for minerals. I love your flowers and your backyard is gorgeous so I don't think you call it a backyard I forget what you call it. Your dresses are lovely all of them really. You're just so creative it's really wonderful to watch I hope you and Brian have a wonderful healthy week. I hadn't remembered that you needed to be gluten free and I had no idea fish could cause those kinds of problems joint issues I mean!

Thanks for your concern Janice. I've had the full heart and blood works and it seems so far I've come out with flying colours as we in the UK say. 🤔😉 We also call our Back yard a back garden (if it has grass on it) and a back yard if it's all concreted over and no grass. So mine is a small back garden. Having had a large back garden in the past I really appreciate this small one. So much easier to manage. 😉😜😘

Good morning from Oklahoma!! Love watching you travel thru the UK, and the laughs you have with Your Lordship! I love the patterns you make but that much fabric would make me look heavier 😊. I have to eat gluten free because I have celiac but there are a lot of options here and I do make a lot of my own desserts. Your flowers were so pretty and looks like right outside your sewing room! How nice!

Why thank you Cheryl. Being a coeliac must be a bind. Both my sons in law are coeliacs and they both have to cook to make sure their foods aren't contaminated so to speak. And I thought gluten intolerance was bad enough! It's mid October and I'm thrilled that my flowers still bloom. I'm saving some and letting them go to seed so I can have more for next year. 💌💌😊💌💌

The one at the end, the Chinese lady pattern, loved the concept of that, but you're right it needs plain fabric Was very interested to hear about gout, and that fish can make it more painful. Something for us to get checked, etc, so thank you for sharing ❤❤x

hi sandy thanks for watching. my mother used to say she had been diagnosed with gout. back then you couldn't understand because she said that you should go with associated with alcohol and she didn't drink alcohol. neither do I. further research told me that fish also causes gout. 🤔 annoying because I love fish too. So I have to be sparing with it. 🫤😘

The flowers are beautiful. So good your husband is staying involved with music & friends. Sorry to hear about the gout. I know with winter coming on my joints will give me a fit at times. I try and exercise and keep flexible which helps some. Love the top & the dresses you’ve made . I like Lekala and the other place you mentioned. Just order the sloper to your size and make sure to add ease. No pattern to draw from scratch. My length things are always in right place and I’ve had minimal width adjustments. I do sometimes have to find a sew along similar to dress because I’m still learning.

hi Victoria! I also had a lekala sloper made to my measurements. I have used it in the past for several garment tops and dresses, but I quite like the way the sewist section uses my measurements and creates all sorts of Styles for me. yes it could be done with my sloper but this doesn't have speed things up for me. perhaps I'm getting more lazy in my old age and prefer to sue rather than design! 😉🫣🤔😘

Your cosmos look fantastic. You had a cold wet summer, so that is probably why they are a little late blooming. So nice. Never mind - your Lordship. Things are always harder to find in the dark. Easily done. Now what is the band called. May I suggest "The Geezers". 🙃 I like the ruffle on your dress. Gives it a little something. A plain coloured scarf would look good with it for the fall I think. I am drawn to a small print. Must be those Laura Ashley dresses/skirts we used to line up to buy in London, when we visited back in the day. I had a friend that lived in Loughton, Essex and we would go for them. Honestly, the fabric they were made of was not very nice, but we bought & wore the skirts in summer. You know Michou, I was expecting the large dramatic fabric to look totally awful. Like you I don't think I would wear it to go out somewhere, but I think it makes a lovely loungewear dress for at home. I will be interested to see you try the pattern again in fabric you like, and see it again.

Love your dresses they all are very nice. I made the tie dress and really do like it. I made mine and shortened it too much so I will need to make it longer. But not as long as the pattern. So good to see you love your videos. Take care. ❤

The orange dress is lovely. What‘s wrong with your bust btw? Some would pay a lot of money! The tiedress is beautiful but I think it would look even better if it was several inches shorter.

ha! I've always been proud of my bust but unfortunately it's starting to go south as they say! 🫣 I forgot to add that I actually felt that the tie dress needs to be shortened and I did in fact shorten it and it does look a lot better, but I still think I would prefer it in a plain fabric. 😉👍❤️
