I love the 2024 Barrel Strength Rye! I was able to grab 2 of those at a great price. I have not been able to track down either of the 10-year offerings (any year) locally at a reasonable price. Will keep looking and hoping! Great review as always! Thanks!

Great comparison David! I have yet to have any of the M10 bourbon and rye. I'm sure they're fantastic,but to pay high price for a low proofer worries me that I might be disappointed. As usual great content and cheers!

Hey John! I don't have the bourbon anymore so I'm not sure exactly what it was... but I believe it was 24G. For the Rye, it's 24D. Hope this helps! Happy New Year and cheers ~

​@@WhiskeyBank Well, I don't have a 24G for the bourbon anyhow, but I do indeed have a 24D (1628) for the rye. It would still be really unlikely that we have the same barrel. I wonder how much variation they each have. Last year there was that big rumor/belief that the "Batch A" bourbons were special.

This was a fun video! I’ve had both of them and I’ll have to agree that the M10 Bourbon is the better of the two. I really like the Rye, but I find that the Bourbon hits that sweet spot more square. Again great video, can’t wait for the next one! 🥃

Hey Vic! The Bourbon is just on a different level with the deep sweet oak that's creamy and oily. I'm just amazed how good both are and am happy I at least have the rye 😆 Happy New Year and cheers my friend ~

Loved the video. The 2023 comparison I did I liked the rye more. The bourbon was just about perfect but uninteresting compared to the rye which was spectacular. Have not found the bourbon this year but just picked up 2 of the 2024 Ryes at msrp. Haven’t tried it yet.

I tell people that M10 Rye is the king of rye - I absolutely love it and can't get enough. Easily worth the $250 I've had to pay at shops that markup. I love the M10 bourbon too and have waited hours in line for that bottle too!!

Enjoyed this video and comparison. I have the rye and its a great low proof high quality rye. Hope to find the bourbon one day. Last week I found the redwood empire haystack needle rye. Really liked it, wish I got the bourbon too ha hope thats the next comparison.

Last years rye was amazing and bourbon was just ok. Havent found a 24 rye but did get a 24 bourbon still have to open it. You are right the overholt 10 was soo good but the 11 was disappointing for my first pour hope it changes.

Honestly, yes, the bourbon is absolutely worth the $185 msrp. I would pay that for the rye as well. The bourbon had the deep rich dark oaky chocolate note that I absolutely love and the low proof with intense flavor is just another level of greatness you can't from many other bourbons. This is NOT their own juice. They started distilling their own whiskey in 2015. This is sourced juice

You're correct, but it's contract sourcing as in they control the entire process (mashbill, barrel, when it's ready, etc.). That's why the barrel entry proof and wood of the barrel is relevant as that's what they want. Hope this helps. Thanks again and cheers~
