I don't believe it's because of a lack of desire or engagement in left wing politics but because the liberal parties don't play fair with true lefties in this country. If we're to keep a FPTP voting model and continue the tennis match of Tory and Labour then no, a truly left wing party will never get anywhere in a liberal democracy. I think this is why Lynch is an effective union figurehead though, he understands politics does not begin and end at the ballot box, he and the RMT I believe have been a very annoying thorn in the side of the government this past year. Way more effective than if Lynch or Eddie Dempsey had become electable politicians.

My branch shop steward was a young lad who had been voted young trade unionist of the year, invited to the TU Congress and introduced to Jenkins. Small talk followed then Jenkins asked “what branch are you with”?, “Telecomm’s” was the reply. “Telecomm’s !!! You don’t pay my fucking cigar bill.” End of conversation. ‘It takes all sorts’ as they say. Not since Ried have I heard anyone as near his style until Lynch. It's a rare gift that Mick poseses to be able to run ring's round Tory journalist he will be a target for the establishment and will have to watch his back

This government knows that the longer they can draw this dispute out, the more the public support for the strikes will dwindle and the union members will lose hope and vote for what they already have. It happened to the miners 40 years ago. In the end the Tories closed all the mines to teach the strikers a lesson rather than because they were uneconomic.

It really supprises me that no body mentions the salaries of our so called elected MPs their expences and gold plated pensions, along with sickness benefits and substantial holidays . The real parasites are there for all to see.

There’s absolutely no chance that “email” came from an RMT member as the fact they surrender their salary to the strike hardship fund is well known.

The government is to pay millions to Trans Pennine even though they have at the same time removed the franchise from Trans Pennine because of their complete failure to provide a decent or acceptable service.Rewards for failure.

Many people don’t seem to understand what Mick Lynchs job is. He’s there to do the best as he sees it for his Union members just like other notable trade unionists in the past like Derek Robinson and Arthur Scargill did for their members in the Car Manufacturing & Mining industries in the 70’s & 80’s.

All power to Mick Lynch and the RMT. The guy is unshakeable because he speaks from a position of truth. Let’s not just fight for RMT workers but ALL workers or deserve a fair pay for the work they do 💪🏻

Apparently not, what has he achieved for the railways workers through the current strike action ?How long has it been going on ?
@MsCharlieBrown78 Жыл бұрын
@@jjefferyworboys8138 it will go on for as long as need be. it's the government who keep stalling things. They've given themselves big pay rises and increased their expenses, yet anyone who wants a 5-10% pay rise in accordance with inflation are asking too much and will crash the economy. Good job some of us can see the woods from the trees.

This type of punishment has been happening for years. In prisons if you had a riot,then it wouldn’t be long before budgets were reduced and accusations of incompetence would arise and the Governor would move on.
