Besides Mickey Guyton’s beautiful and powerful voice (what a voice!), what I really love about this rendition of the National Anthem is the 10 member choir behind her. When they came in at “And the rocket's red glare….”, the choir added such stunning percussive effects to the familiar words, I literally had chills listening to them. With Mickey leading the choir in the second half of the song, they brought the anthem home to its rousing end in a most satisfying way. Bravo to Mickey and everyone in the choir for a great and most memorable presentation of our National Anthem. Thank you!

Typically singers lip sync in stadiums like this because the acoustics are difficult to hear yourself because of the amount of echo. And in this case where it’s one shot on live television on the most watch event on TV, you probably want to go the safe route. But we all know Whitney at the time could deliver what was televised… fun fact, she recorded what we heard in one take after only hearing the musical arrangement once with no rehearsals beforehand.

I love Mickey Guyton's music. Im as southerner and love country music. It's so far and in-between where there is a black country artist-not alone a female black country artist, so it's a wonderful treat to see her sing and listen to her music. Her voice is amazing. Strong, clean and soulful. Fantastic rendition. I cry every time I hear the Anthem!

I’m a huge country music fan. I had no idea that this Angel existed until she sang our National Anthem. After the game, I looked her up. She’s beautiful inside and out and she has one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard. She deserves a Grammy.
