1:49 Once Mickey knows Ian's serious you can hear his voice crack immediately, even before he says "don't". Ian broke him and he knows it, but Ian needs to hear from Mickey more than don't. This is such a powerful scene. When Ian says "I didn't come for you." You can even hear his voice tremble. It hurt him to walk away from Mickey but he need to hear from him that he cared.

Exactly!! Mickey didn't even got the courage to tell him not to go, he just said 'don't'. I get that he was in a bad position too, but he never told Ian that he wants him, even if he knew how much that would have ment to him, he didn't stepped out of his confort zone to make ian feel better. Ian felt heartbroke and he probably trought that Mickey didn't care about him enought, otherwise he would have step up, no matter how hard that was

The good news is that Noel aka Mickey, has been signed on as a series regular for the upcoming season 4. I don't think this will be the last of our Ian and Mickey love story. The popularity of this pairing and the fact that they are both outstanding actors makes me think the network saw that too! :-)

Cameron HAS TO come back. I honestly that whole "I can't confirm or deny" was just something the producers made him say to build suspense for next season. Noel is absolutely coming back so what could they do with Mickey without Ian there? I have to say that scene with them was probably the most heartbreaking thing I've seen. They both played it out PERFECTLY. January 2014 is too far away!

Actually, "don't ask don't tell" was repealed so you can now be openly gay in the US military. But the first season Lip brought this up and Ian pretty much said it was better than spending forever in the Southside of Chicago. He isn't as smart as Lip so he will not get a full scholarship to college. He saw the military as his only option to make a better life and a structure that he craved.

Ian will be back next season, however Cameron isn't filming until near the end of the season so obviously he won't be back for very long/for very much. However, Mickey is gonna be in it a lot more. Noel has been filming loads. And he and Lip have a scene to do with Ian, as far as I know.

I think I am one of the few people that hate the idea of Ian and mickey being together. and I am gay. Ian needs to grow up some and come out himself, remember he was pretending to be Mandy's boyfriend all along. He also needs to have some self respect his relationships have all been pretty sordid. And Mickey beat Ian and when he was done he said, "I feel better now". Cut to: Ian screwing Mickey before his wedding. There was no consequences or blow back from that beating and it was brutal. smh

I know I'm late with discovering this show but I just realized two things about this scene. First the pause Ian tells Mickey how long he will be gone. Second when Mickey says don't and Ian says don't what is the reversal of Ian telling Mickey don't get married. Which I think is why Mickey although hurt couldn't say anything else.

It is like when you have a friend that keeps doing the same thing stupid things over and over to the point where you just don't care anymore. And your like, "whatever, dude. See ya later". That is how I feel about Ian and Lip at the moment. I have also been in a relationship with a volatile partner, and it was shameful on my part for sticking around. My beef is more about the sloppy writing, no follow through.
