I come from childhood trauma myself and I really GET HIM. He’s in my prayers. God bless him. I hope he’s experiencing at least some healing. The residuals never seem to leave. The trauma sabotages everything. He’s a sensitive soul in a soul crushing world.

The greatest actor I've seen since Brando. His greatest performance for me was in the film Angel Heart in 1987. You could not take your eyes off him due to his incredible screen presence. Every movement, mannerism, pause and line were perfectly delivered by Mickey in that movie. They talk about Daniel Day Lewis and Christian Bale but Mickey Rourke at his peak was unsurpassed.

Mickey I had horrendous childhood. Shit never goes away. But I can lose myself in your movies and for about 2 hours the world is good

Know who you are, you are a beautiful soul and were created by source from love, the highest frequency. Everyday is a new day and you are enough and deserving. Whenever you get negative thoughts-be mindful and conscious of it and silence it and replaced with loving affirmative positive thoughts while telling yourself that was the old you-it's ok-eventually your subconscious will catch up and it will get easier with persistence and awareness. Love to you.

Sorry he's been through so much but I'm glad he's back on the right path and sounds like he was able to learn from the things he's been through.

it breaks my heart how he speaks about his childhood. being a mother myself, i think child abuse is the worst thing in the world. i don't want to be judgemental and i know times were different when he was a child in 60s, but as a mother i would have left that kind of husband hundred times.

He had that in common with Axl Rose maybe why he used G n R as his entrance music when he boxed and in The Wrestler too. It's still a huge real life problem that society tolerates his step father was a cop too they are more of a problem than solution often.
I experienced a lot of childhood trauma also ...I had demons 😈 removed from me ...they are real ...Jesus - only Jesus - can remove demons 😊

Wrangling with myself about Piers more than Mickey Rourke here...here he is opening himself up for these questions that just do not have to be so lurid. I mean "How would you do it" when someone admits like so many that they think of cashing in. Why would you ask that question. What possible reason. As usual I want to believe they are here both trying to make the other's job easier, but I guess the muck raking trumps any chance for a genuine human connection.

Well has Piers paid Prince Harry for the invasion of privacy and stalking allegations as ordered by the courts either yet? "Motorcycle boy he's like royalty in exile" (rumble fish) authenticity is shat on in America and the UK.

The thumbnail for this video looks like Mickey as Camus wool coat with cigarette black and white it is a very superficial industry reminds me of a Brad Pitt poster a friend gave me in the 90s also black and white of him with a cigarette all image over substance. Probably why Rumble Fish is still a classic film too.
