mickey used to come onto a coffee shop where i worked. he would go tanning next door then come in for a coffee. super nice, respectful and down to earth. one of my co-workers was an aspiring actor and mickey talked to him for a long time about acting and really listened too, great listener. 💜💜💜💜 mickey!

Why would somoene who is a shoemaker be automatically considered in a negative way or especially why would he be disrespected? If he or she is a good person and they like what they do with the shoes, why is that something bad or disrespectful? So Warren Beatty or any famous actor should be automatically respected but somoene who makes or fixes shoes should be disrespected? Sorry Mickey, I think you fucked up on that statement and offended your own friend who is a shoemaker. Yeah... imagine me syaing for an interview: " I met Ryan Reynolds once and he is a complete fucking idiot. I gotta a friend who is black and works as a janitor and I have more respect for him than that stupid Cnadaian Van Wilder looking fuck!"

Hollywood missed out on doing more with Mickey Rourke. His strong and real bad boy personality is the kind people crave to watch especially if given a decent script. He's always reminded me of Clint Eastwood; even though their personalities are extremely different, they both have unique, real, strong, silent bad boy personalities that draw people in.

Love Mickey. The one with the balls from Hollywood who gave him the return-chance ticket (bumping out Nicolas Cage) was the Aronofsky director of "The Wrestler," a film that unfortunately got ripped off by the academy awards people who preferred to make that special night a theme for gay rights. Mickey should’ve played Butch in Pulp Fiction at this time. The role was perfect for him. The chain smoking, motorcycle riding, tough but romantic boxer was literally him. Apparently he threw the script in the trash without reading because he was boxing and it didn’t pay enough.

He should play the part of Butch in Pulp Fiction, as Tarantino wanted, but Mickey turned it down, becouse he wanted to be a boxer, not an actor. AAHHH he was just PERFECT for the part. Even the chopper, at thee end.

apparently he didn't even read the script, he just didn't want to act at that point

@Tigerlily21 Well, that and he's Shirley McClaine's brother and I think he produced Easy Rider so he's connected with powerful ppl like nicholson. Connections are everything everywhere especially hollywood. Soooo many of our actors have family members that are are in the industry. Beatty does seem weird. Did you see him in Madonna's doc 'Truth or Dare'?

I wish his segment on why he doesn't care for actors lasted longer. I watched 1:36-1:58.

It's somewhat confusing that he hates Daniel Day-Lewis, not just necessarily and generally because Dan is thought of as great actor, but also because Mickey was on record saying that he admired ''In The Name of The Father'' even though he despised the script when he had first read it himself. Hmm...he must've focused on Emma Thompson (who wrote him a letter, congratulating him for his comeback in ''The Wrestler'').

Mickey may come off as being a bit crude here, but I am a fan. The man is probably one of our finest living actors, and he's also evolved into a great human being. I think he's done a lot of living and learning since this interview. (I still like to watch this and see him disparage Alec Baldwin and Warren Beatty, though!)

some might think i'd be crazy to suggest this but i think he would be vintage epic again in some kind of dog drama, not a family dog movie but something he usually does that's different and not what you expect. there are some dog movies out there where they're not cutesy and at the same time he can educate the public about animal abuse, etc.

He is as real as they come and tell it like it is. I understand what he says about Warren Beatty, Alec Baldwin and Kevin Costner. But Daniel Day Lewis?!?! Very shocked he is included in his talk down. Overall, he should have continue making movies with his good looks still intact.

Mickeys great! I never understand why they never mention Johnny Handsome whenever there’s an interview with him! As far as I’m concerned, that was his best movie! I remember the first movie I saw of his was Rumblefish! He’s one of the coolest guys in HW!
