Excellent review, really great to see opinions from a real customer, we can't say enough great things about the Mickeys but you would be right to call us biased. It's definitely an aggressive tire that puts off road performance before street performance. The DOT version is ideal for those that are minutes from trails but don't want to trailer their rig, where the sticky compound can become damaged after just a few miles of street use. While we definitely agree that these are not the perfect daily driver tire, we have several friends who do just that, mainly because they want to hop right into a trail from the street where they live.

Yeah I just drove these on a 1000 mile trip from SoCal to Arizona for some wheeling this Labor Day weekend and it sucked on the highway tbh lol cause it was so loud! But I made it there and back no problems and they did amazing on the rocks. I agree these are more for people who wanna drive a few miles down the street to trails and it would be perfect. It really comes down to people’s needs.

Well done review man! I've been running my '43s now for about a year and love them. They are Big and Awesome in the rocks. I really dont think it would matter what size or your traill level, they are going to hook up big time. Not to mention how well Mickey Thompson took care of me personally...

I ran 39.5 Boggers when I still drove my Jeep to the trail and didn't have the shakes . Boggers are a whole lot more agressive than the pro-x .

I've been told that no tire is "100% perfectly round" and that a good tire shop will identify if a tire/wheel is mounted properly if they need minimal wheel weights added to achieve proper balance. If a wheel/tire balancer is reading that a unusual amount of weight be added to achieve balance they should first mark the tire/wheel and re-mount the tire 180° on the wheel and rebalance to see if it now reads less weight needs added to achieve correct balance.

Well dang. I thought about getting these and the noise doesnt bother me, but the low mileage is a deal breaker. I daily drive my truck and sometimes i work out of town so i out hella miles fast. I also dont get the point of these tires since they are the street legal version…if the milage and noise is so bad on highway, why bother? If you trailer your rig then you might as well put on the offroad only tires 😂😂😂

The idea that the road milage doesn't matter is crazy. I realize it's not a huge market but I'm going to be building an ultimate adventure style truck. With 40"+ tires. An basically do a loop around the country. So if u could do updates with milage an actual measurements at say 5k increments it would be really helpful

All mud terrains only last about 12-15k it doesn't matter the brand that's just what to expect when you have reasonably soft rubber and agressive tread on the highway . A tire review for an off-road tire should be more about their performance off-road not whining about how a set of 38.5 mud terrains don't have all season street tire like ride characteristics ...face palm .
@labormanjourneys52583 жыл бұрын
You’re wrong there buddy, because 99% of the questions I get about these tires is how is the ride on the street.... face palm
@yerwrng3 жыл бұрын
@@labormanjourneys5258 There off-road tires designed to perform off-road so anyone asking you how they ride on the street expecting them to ride any different than a 100lb mud tire is silly. Tread life once again they're a heavy large lug soft rubber designed for off-road performance not tread life anyone expecting a 30-50k mile tire is silly . A review of an ... off-road... Tire should probably have a review based on the off-road performance not what people who think off-road prep involves tire shine.

@@labormanjourneys5258 I like the look of the Mickey's I just don't see a lot of video with them to get a feel for how they work compared to other tires . I do however not run street compounds anymore so the sticky version is more what I'm after I ran big wide interco Boggers and 44 tsl before switching to the 42 sticky treps which work very well but I'd like a sticky option that works well that is a bit wider .
