I'm back in the U.S. now, but still consistently practice reading, writing, speaking Thai so I am current for many return visits. Your Thai captioned subtitles are excellent! - - Thanks so much! Every time we went to Thailand, we ate a lot of fruit. It is the ideal food when it is very hot. Very good! Our little girl loves it.

Thailand is a food paradise and it's cheap. I love to cook my own meal cuz meat and vegetables or even fruits are cheap though some of em are imported. i like to shop for food at Makro and Tesco. i think i have never spent more than 5000s baht a month on food - about 166 usds if I dont go to fancy restaurants.
it's so impressive video; especially, in a way you explained the simplicity of living in Thailand. well done, Michael

Please keep making videos like these! I am visiting Bangkok next year as our next 2nd honeymoon and need to learn all the info as much as possible. Would love to see videos on what documents you need to do to Thailand, cheap places to eat, free fun things to do, what to do and not to do, malls, etc 😁😁
Mickey , I like the way you presented your life story. Its important for the people to know the background of bloggers and what's in their mind instead of just speculating and wandering, so they can connect at a higher level with them personally or with their work. It doesn't really matter how many things you try in life Or if you made a success out of them, the important thing is to keep going and one day your accumulated experience Will lead you to the day you can cash in by finding either You search for or settling for what you love to do. In any event, you are in the right path to reach your dreams. We are all just passengers in this journey of the immense unknown so if we even touch each others life only for a second and leave something of value to think about that is already a miracle to be appreciated. Best of luck.

Hello Mickey, hello guys- when I was in Thailand travelling around, I brought my laundry to a women to wash and dry it for me, so I only had to fetch it two days later from there. It was pretty cheap, I can remember in Koh Samui it was 30 Baht for a Bag, in Chiang Mai about 25 Baht, in Bangkok about triple price of that. There is always a nice person around in Thailand to wash your laundry!

Thank you for this Great video, Mickey. You are really down to earth. I've been in Bangkok for nearly 10 times for 1 month each but don't know the area around Huai Khwang because I used to stay around Bearing and Samrong which is also nice. Btw, Bangkok is nice everywhere except the center and red light zone. I also like to stay as a local in order to get closer to the local people. In the future I plan to stay for a longer time in Thailand/Bangkok and can't wait to get the chance because of Covid. Looking forward to your video about condos in Bkk. Stay healthy and greetings from Germany .

Really enjoy the practical videos like this Mickey. Costs, getting around, day to day living. I feel KZbin is oversaturated with food videos so this is a nice change. Check out the KZbinr Paolo from Tokyo. He does a great mix of the practical, food, and daily life stuff. And my fav video series of his is a day in the life of a Japanese worker. Would love for you to do something similar but with Thai people. Keep up the good work. Enjoying your channel all the way from Melbourne Australia.

I remember during my early travel days to southeast asia, I decided to use the in hotel laundry service, when I checked out, and saw the laundry service price, I was totally shock on how expensive it was. after that I packed the same amount of clothing as the days I was traveling. suffice to say I ended up packing a fairly large size suit case. and then during one of the travels, I ended up extending the trip for a week, basing on my setup, I would be without fresh cloths for that whole week. I saw a laundry sign near the hotel, figuring nothing to lose, I decided to try it. less then $10 charge, I got 2 weeks' worth of cloths washed, ironed, and folded. and I only expected them to be washed and folded. I was very happy with the service. after that, I only bring 8 days or less of cloths and never looked back. now I don't need to do check in at the airport any more. it's so great to have good and affordable laundry service in SE Asia!!!!
@MickeyStotch3 жыл бұрын
That's so true! Hotel's laundry is more expensive while there are always laundry shops around willing to wash and iron everything you want at very affordable rates!
@talast20003 жыл бұрын
@@MickeyStotch yeah, another great things about SE Asia. although the first time I rented an Airbnb unit, I discovered they only have a washer. living in the US, the dryer was part of the life. so it was rather shocking to not see a dryer around in the Airbnb unit. my friend who was at the time with me told me in Asia, people hang their cloths. That sounds just soooo wrong after having the use of dryers all my life. But I guess that's what they called "first world problems".....
