Hi mickey! Greets from holland again🌷 I have a story about kancanaburi. My father was a English officer in the army and got captured by the mega sadistic japanese soldiers. He was in these 'p.o.w.' camps and had to work on the railway and bridges. He managed to escape and got shot in the leg/bum doing so! Still he managed to get away! After a few days wandering in the jungle,he met a american, big black soldier who was blinded by scrap metal from a granate. So he couldn't see anything. (How scared is that. Not being able to see in the jungle😮) so the big guy took my father on his back and made it after weeks into Laos. They could only travel by night cause of the japanese patrol's! Luckely he made it, otherwise this story would have never been told 😬! (☝🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🌷!) R.i.p. dad!

I loved Kanchanaburi when I visited way back in 2008. It is so funny that Thai people are trying to set you up. I don't blame them though ;). The cave is really spectacular! I always thought Kanchanaburi was so beautiful with so much history.
