He captures the 70s so well on film. Right down to the mood.

When I first rented House of 1000 Corpses, I watched it three times in a row. First time with a buddy, we thought we were going to watch a goofy flick and joke through the whole thing. But we sat and attentively watched the whole time. He left and I watched it with commentary. Right afterward I started it up without commentary again. There's just something about it that's so exploratory and fantastic. I really dig that movie.

Exactly! I just don't get why it's so hated! It's a masterpiece.

It's the only work he has done I really like. I feel he absolutley nailed everything. The casting of the freaks were perfect. It helped at the point I watched the movie I had never seen any of the cast before. Not even Sid Haig. For me, the best part of the movie, which totally caught me by surprise, is when the woman walks into Dr Satans lair. Him and that masked freak was mind boggling to see at the time.

I bought it at Walmart on VHS back in 03. It was really cheap cause it was that time when DVD'S first started taking over and VHS was going the way of the dinosaurs. I'm 33 now but miss the old days

I met Rob Zombie a Few years back and he's such a down to earth man and so damn intelligent. He looks intimidating but he's actually a really nice person in real life. Can't wait to see Him this summer.

I have huge respect for both Mick and Rob so this was very interesting to see. I still think The Devil's Rejects is the best out of Rob's movies. And what really really sucks bigtime is that Masters Of Horror no longer is a thing. I wish Mick and all the others could have kept it alive. Maby even have Rob do a Masters Of Horror

Not the biggest fan of Rob Zombie as a director but he seems very intelligent and I respect that. I'll give him props for at least trying to bring a new take to the Halloween franchise.

I guess, in 2000, “Scream” was out 4 years earlier, and I guess the Universal executives were expecting something along the lines of that, which “House of 1000 Corpses” was not.

Nobody talks about E.T.? Really. Don't get me wrong, The Thing is in my top ten but that is a ridiculous comment.
@yellowcougar186 жыл бұрын
I think the re-issue where Spielberg added all the CGI,and removed the guns tarnished that film. I was unfortunate to see the CGI adjusted version....and it's a nightmare. If John Carpenter did similar with The Thing, nobody would be discussing that movie.
@danseth57754 жыл бұрын
He's referring to it vs John Carpenter's "The Thing " which was hated by critics in when it first came out and underperformed at the box office due to "ET". It took forever for "The Thing " to get the recognition it deserved. It wasn't until KZbin with all these reactions videos that showed everyone how underrated it is, Now it's considered by many to be one of the greatest movies ever made
