I have to admit. Normally i don't like "modern" stage designs of "old" operas, because, to put it simple, due to lack of soul. But this is really great.

@donner :: everyone is entitled to have their opinion ; occasionally, we must be corrected :: This is not one of Handel's "richest" operas [ imo 🥸 ]. _Julius Caesar_ was his masterpiece. He never surpassed himself with that magnificent music-drama‼️

It must be admitted that there are many points of strenght in this performance. In particular, the set design and direction seem very good. From a musical point of view, the orchestra does a great job, the absence of the recorders and the flautino (which is also excellently masked by the "Augelletti" direction) is a shame, but if instead of a harpsichord they had included an organ in the ensemble, they would have masked even better and made the absence of an instrument that is fundamental in that aria imperceptible.

Whats up with countertenor (castrato back then in this case) in baroque opera. I'm always amazed by their skill but its like is this guy supposed to be Mickey Mouse? its a little immersion breaking when our heroic knight literally has no balls!

Одна из лучших и первых пастиччо Генделя. Но музыкальный текст не простой, большая часть исполнителей немного не дотягивает по силе и прочности голосов до своих партий. Кантилены, которая тут требуется не слышно от слова "совсем". Ринальдо не выразительный, в его пении очень не хватает драматического наполнения, а его певческая тесситура ближе к тенору-фальцет, чем контр-тенору, как заявлено в спектакле, стаккато у него вообще не получаются. Совсем никакой Гоффредо, певица практически не справилась с партией, голос слишком камерный для сценического применения, основная тесситура узкая, верхи и низы полностью глухие. Немного вокально крепче выглядят Альмирена и Армида. Сильный красивый бас Араганте, мастерское пение. Достоинство постановки в том, что она просто существует. Сценических воплощений Ринальдо совсем немного в мире, можно буквально пересчитать по пальцам. Оркестр кажется одно из лучших достоинств данной постановки. Что до режиссерского прочтения - то тут я стою на принципах - если художник так видит, значит так оно и есть. Сценография немного напоминает кич по ультимативности гротеска, одни только сиськи у кукол-сирен чего стоят. Короче, основная претензия к вокалу, а в остальном спектакль можно считать состоявшимся. Мечтала бы о постановке Ринальдо Максом Эммануэлем Ценчичем или Филиппом Жарусски, буду надеяться и ждать.

А я вот не понял зачем они изменили финальную сцену. По идее Арагант и Армида переходят на сторону добра (конечно это не реализм))) и последняя сцена это квинтет. Сильно не хватает басовой партии Может другая редакция или так решили постановшики? Примечание - всю оперу в этом исполнении слушать не стал - слабовато.

Насчет Жарусски или кого еще - всегда предпочитаю меццо (или другой женский голос) Редко когда наслаждаюсь голосом контратенора. Да и какой Жарусски рыцарь? Уже играл Руджеро с Прохазкой Такой нежный мальчик. Таже Ернман или Васелина Казарова выглядят убедительнее. Хотя у обеих голоса не без недостатков)

@@user-vl198 по поводу финальной сцены есть 2 версии: первая - ее убрал сам Гендель. Вторая - ее убрали за ненужностью (в контексте этого спектакля это смотрелось бы смешно). Если вам интересно, эта сцена сохранена в чешской постановке.

Можно это услышать: David Daniels, Rene Jacobs (conductor) и другие Так как они сделали нигде нет. Если Вы имеете виду Чешскую "Collegium 1704 Václav Luks" Ее я тоже слушал. Отличная постановка Тоже осмелюсь дать совет. Сделайте опоиск: Vinto e sol dalla virtu
