You could use Ldr's and tda's if you have less money You could also use ptz and mosfets The duino seems a little over the top for such a tiny operation

You would need a larger, more powerful servo motor that could support the weight of the bigger panels.

We haven't used the micro:bit's standby mode in one of our projects yet, we recommend searching for official micro:bit tutorials or asking in the forums on their website.
