I've had the chance to use this table a couple of times now. It's fun to whip out in front of people:) I can see what people are talking about when they say the legs are delicate, but they're design to support a "mostly" vertical load, not be torqued from the side or pushed back into place. If you just let the table open or close on it's own and don't force anything, it works great kzbin.infoUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh Once it's set up, it's pretty solid. My only gripe would probably be related to the clamps provided. They're not the highest quality. They do the job, so no big deal, but they could be better. All in all, pretty cool gadget.

Nice shop! Next time you do hardwood bench top try using tung oil instead of polyurethane. I finished my oak bench like that and love it! I can write notes in pencil next to my setup and it erases cleanly and if something leaves a bit of a scratch or mark it's really easy to light sand and rub with a little oil.

Dude, this could not be worse timed. I JUST built my reloading bench almost identical to that. Your t-track setup inspired me along with the floating workbench plans I bought from woodsmithplans. If you do sell your steel tracks, I’ll buy them right now, since I haven’t “finished” the build by installing the t-tracks yet. I was going to order the heavy duty aluminum ones from Peachtree, but steel sounds way sturdier.
@taylorbokshowan57134 жыл бұрын
Personal preference but I put a vise on the end of my bench and put my press on a base that clamps in my vise. That way I can pull the press and use the vise to hold my rifle when I need. It’s also in my garage so I use the bench as a work space also

I built a few of these several years ago after seeing your first bench. The only issue I ran into was that I bought a "high" mount from inline fabrication which had a larger distance between the holes for mounting inside the T-track. Once I ordered the the shorter mounts... my tracks were too far apart :( I had Mike from inline fab make adapters for the smaller mounts. Not sure if his current ones are still different dimensions.

Just moved cross country and have plenty of room now. 2-Dillon, 1-Hornady, 1-Redding, & 2- MEC presses plus assorted powder measures, gun vise, etc. I could definitely use the flexibility of a standardized mounting system that allows me to keep the line-up close by and set up but not in the primary user location. Beautiful place in the USA 🇺🇸 Did you think about building the bench so you could fold it down to add more room in the cabin ? It could've been made sturdy enough for all your needs. Definitely not saying it isn't perfect the way it is. Just thinking about tiny homes idea to add space. Is it wired for a generator? Solar? Both? Plan on using it in the winter ? Can snowmobile up. Anyways, good stuff Gavin.
