I can see a market for this. In winter time, when there is a power outage, most forced-air heating furnace will stop working because the blower fan is run by electric motor. This turbine generator can be built into a home heating furnace which warm the home and also produce enough power to drive the blower fan. i.e. a natural gas furnace can continue to work during a power outage.

I agree, it seems like a waste to use natural gas for only heat when it could be used to make electricity and ultimately the same amount of heat. if the electricity produced were used to power a heat pump, then that would be more efficient than a regular gas furnace

That's been available for 40 years. My dad, a builder had one for jobsite use while awaiting temp electric service. About 3000 watts, gas or poropane running the ubiquitous Briggs & Stratton 3.5 HP piston banger. Easily run a SkilSaw or air compressor / nail gun. I'm not trying to be an ass. I WANT A TINY GAS TURBINE. But for market purposes, 7 years later, it's vaporware.

I know, right? I'm looking too for the same thing. I really like turbines for their power-to-weight ratios, they can run on many fuels, and I really, really like the sound of them. Were you successful finding a micro turbine generator, that can fit in a motorcycle? Do you know where I can buy a small, efficient gas-turbine or jet-engine? I've been looking for small or micro ones, about the size of a Pringles can, that are not the single compression stage ones for toy planes & helicopters. I think the toy ones are so inefficient, because they just have 1 compressor and 1 turbine stage, the literal bare minimum just to run. I've been looking for multi-compressor stage and multi turbine stage engines, or how to safely compound-turbocharge these toy jets, but haven't found either yet. Until I do, I'm stuck with small, turbocharged industrial engines like the Predator 212, but I'm also looking for liquid-cooled versions of THAT. This is so annoying, and I currently don't have the time & money, for trial & error experiments like this. I almost became homeless, because I foolishly tried doing my delivery job, with prototype Series-Hybrid scooters, while simultaneously learning about BEVs, Hybrids, and electrical engineering. I should have just put all my money into getting & maintaining a fast running motorcycle, to earn more money with my job, then focus on all this. Doing UberEATS in my area, with a normal bicycle or weak scooter, is a death-sentence.

There is a similar gas turbine developed in America using mostly off-the-shelf components. It produces 80Kw. It is being used to drive electric generators on buses and garbage trucks. I heard about it in a TED talk. It is bigger than this unit but it will burn virtually any fuel, as well as common fuels. It spins at commonly seen speeds as you would find in turbochargers. Nothing approaching 300K to 400k rpm. Why were busses and garbage trucks chosen? Because of the typical stop and go driving that is much better suited to an electric vehicle.
