Turns out if you adjust your Xantrex setting, you CAN use a smaller generator to run the Truma. Albeit there are a couple things to consider.

Got a Firman 4000 gas/propane generator. It weighs about a 100lbs so I also had to get a ramp to get it in and out of my SUV.

Yes, the grid breaker rating. Touch that to open the setting for that and it’s pretty obvious how to change it.

Hi SpeedBumpMedia, glad to see on KZbin! I believe I had the same problem, are you talking about the “GRID” and under that label where it says “Breaking Rating” you have it set at 15A>. I just want to verify the area that you are talking about. My family own the “Winnebago Micro Minnie FLX 2306BHS” and I am still very new at this FLX system. I brought a Champion 2500 generator and figure this would work. When I was just charging the FLX battery, the generator would overload. Could you please show me the steps how to use the XANTREX APP how to set this setting, I won’t overload. Or could you make a short video on this procedure. I feel my RV dealer has a lack of knowledge. Thank you so much.

So do i need a generator with a inverter? Or a normal generator works?
@speedbumpmedia958429 күн бұрын
The electronics require an inverted generator.

Do you think a Jackery 2000 pro may work? Thanks!!

Depending on running wattage it’s very likely. Though the smaller the generator the more it will eat through the gas as it will run at a higher percentage of load.

@@speedbumpmedia9584 I'm sorry, I should have added that this is a solar generator.

I haven’t played with solar generators. I’m sure it would work to a point but I’d consult someone who has more knowledge of solar generators with RV usage.
