I am willing to spend all my money to own this beautiful lathe.

Great stuff! I've got a couple 8mm watchmakers/jewlers lathes and a staking set. Thanks for sharing! Edit. I can get down to just under 3 thousandths with a cross slide.

Such a cute little lathe! The whole first half of the video i was thinking how perfect it would be for carb jets or really any type of spray nozzle

Levin makes an instrument size lathe as well. However, the price tag doesn't help my admiration of these small lathes. Thanks for the share Don. 👍

@@deedeeindustrialsuperprecision I recently took my Levin 8mm headstock apart to free up the bearings and there is a shield in there as well as a wavey washer to add tension on the bearing sets.

Yes! That's awesome! Some years back, I had to downsize & move into a much smaller place. As part of the downsizing, I had to sell my metal lathe & replace it with a Taig micro lathe. I've always wondered if I should have bought a used watchmakers lathe instead. A lot of those watchmakers lathes look like they're built a lot more solid than the micro lathes. Thanks for posting :)

I have not used the other micro lathes yet, it looks like they do a lot

Hi Dee , great video , what’s the Lever on motor at pulley end ? Can see a slot around bell with piece sticking out.

I have to admit, I was curious about that, too.

That is the motor brush holder and reversing switch. The whole brush holder rotates in that slot to reverse. Hamilton Beach motor.
