Looks good. You might even be able to make 40 tip threads for micrometers on the 10EE. The challenge would be to make a 40 tpi Tap that will screw (cut threads) into a bore of equal size and then screw the Starrett thimble into it and measure the travel. Thanks as always for bringing us along.

I'm a 20 year old in this trade and my lungs and sinuses are really messed up. I think the chlorinated cutting oils and degreasers have messed up my lungs and I want to know if more machinists have similar stories. Spontaneous pneumothorax & pulmonary edema with constant lung discomfort and chest tighness. Ive seen doctors before anyone says.

I had developed skin reactions to the water-soluble oils over fairly limited exposure. The fact that the oil is water soluble I believe can enter your body. The CNC shops I have seen are really bad from the amount of that coolant used and getting it in the air with blow guns. Combine that with the metals that are gassing from the heat of the cut and you have a toxic environment for sure. Doctors are part of the system, they are not going to stick their necks out and say your workplace is killing you.
