I carry a spare stub axle, bearings, cv, and bolts for the rear. I like type 1 because the bearing spread is wider and they last longer

Always be prepared. 👍

not to mean but it not full float like you say. you are still required to the mirco stub axle install to make the hub last. it need the torque on it. if not like you said it will fall apart on you as you drive.

Nice Rail. Be-wary of those half shafts. They are not as forgiving as a CV. I had to remove mine due to frame cracks.

Are those dodge intrepid hub assemblies?

I'm not sure. They might be from a Blazer S10.

thanks what motor and trans are you running and why?
@DougBugBuilder7 жыл бұрын
CYA TV, the motor is a 1974ish 1600DP. I will one day upgrade to something nicer and bigger. But for now I'm bleeding cash just working on the chassis. The transaxle is a bus type 2 with the 5.38 R&P. I went with that because I wanted to run 33" tires and the terrain I will be driving in is mountain trails. So the speeds will be low and there will be a good amount of going up and down inclines. Once I get beyond the chassis I will have videos on the motor and chassis. Thanks for the comments!
