I am 74 years and have not visited a Dr for literally years. Have a very good diet, dont smoke very little alcohol. Very low processed food etc, walk on the grass, sit in the sun etc. No jabs, no covid. If I feel 'unwell' or slightly 'off the mark', I look back at what I have been eating over the last couple days and very often find the issue. We are what we put in our mouth.

I bake whole grain bread with natural leaven that relies on a healthy microbiome. I am still baking with the Mother Starter that I made over 10 years ago and it is going strong. Fed with freshly ground organic whole grains and it knows how to keep itself healthy. I just give it fresh food and water and it does the rest while feeding many people I bake for. Could not agree more! I am a self employed gardener and my wife and I went plant based nearly ten years ago. I have two allotments and grow everything we eat. The improvements in our health started happening within hours. Both now in our sixties and never been healthier. We are very focused on our micro biome. Would never take pharma drugs as they destroy the micro biome. Grateful every day we never went near the awful jabs. We both caught covid, we’re mildly ill for a week and now have a natural defence. Nature knows best.

Those of us who do can barely earn minimum wage; that's why so few do it and most doctors have become employees of hospitals doing whatever feeds their paycheck - lots of procedures and lots of big pharma. I have lost several family members to this evil agenda. I tried to warn them, but they would not listen. Some have passed away shortly after, and some have gotten severely ill and haven’t been the same since. Some have personality changes, extreme personality changes to the point that it’s very difficult to be around them anymore. They seem to be full of anger and resentment. What I noticed the past few years, especially among friends and family, was don't ever ask if and/or when these people who died got any kind of shots. Wow! People get really quiet when you ask that question. Unless they're strangers, then they get super-defensive and insulted. "How dare you!!!! What are you trying to say!!!???" And so many people died without any explanation of what they died of, how they died, etc. It used to be regular for people to post in their obituary how they died, what they died of -- but not the past four (4) years!!!! Big mystery, to many, but not all.

I've just recently gone through the same thing with several courses of antibiotics creating havoc with my Ulcerative Colitis. If you research it, you will find there are several specific gut bacteria which is knocked out by the majority of antibiotics, and there are specific PRObiotics that can address this. I take a probiotic 1/2 hour before meals (or 2 hours after) as the gut acid is at its lowest then (it kills the probiotic action). I also take a lot of water with it as this dilutes any gut acid, so enables more effective action of the probiotic ingested. I also never drink fluids with food as this dilutes the digestion effect by the dilution of gut acid.

Scared to return to my PCP after 2 rounds of antibiotics failed to kill my bacterio infections. The infections had been cultured, but not sensitized ( ? correct term?). Dr John already answered why Prof Clancy’s research isn’t taking off, “it’s not in any interest to $ making for big pharma” I’ve had a chronic cough since being vaccinated, initially diagnosed with mycoplasma pneumonia, CT had a “fractured glass appearance “ which was then a common finding with covid 19 infection ( I had not contacted the disease as such then) My concerns about the vaccine being the catalyst were brushed off by my GP. I’d fund Prof Clancys research , it’s so practical.

I have C.O.P.D and found what assists me greatly. You may want to research N.A.C (N-Acetyl Cysteine) and Glycine. These are two Enzymes (in powder form), no prescription required, that I've found assist my breathing enormously. It dilates the blood vessels, which enables improved circulation (and therefore oxygenation), it also fights viruses within the body especially the lungs and improves the body's natural immunity and energy levels. These are my personal observations only so it's important to do your own research, there is much available on KZbin about it. As a side benefit my hair has also gone darker..hahahah. Yes, sauerkrauts, kefir, kimchi, and other fermented foods are also great for gut biome health. And stay away from anti-bacterial soaps and Lysol kind of sprays. They may kill bad stuff, but they also kill good stuff and your body's immune system will lose the ability to defend itself. It's ok to be dirty.

I had an intense maximum antibiotics therapy in February this year to treat an infection. It worked against the infection, yet it put me complete out of balance, I never felt as sick, incredible weak and tired, unable to do 2 things on one day. I even had anxiety attacks and no one prepared me for 6 months of total inability for a daily normal life. And the mental weakness felt like a body induced depression, could not think or work more than one hour. Noone speaks about adverse effects of antibiotics, I had no idea it affects everything in my body and mind.

My physician could had no idea why I was so out of order. I went to a lb alternative medicine practitioner with some Globuli and acupuncture and this turned out helping me together with some. Supplements.

I'm in my early 50s all my life i have had bouts of low energy, brain fog and allergies. a few years ago i did a strict elimination diet and realized how much the food i ate affected my symptoms. I now eat a pretty boring diet but feel so much better. When i do eat other foods i really notice a difference in my energy and brain fog. Wish i had done this 30 years, its been life changing.

If you Google "what specific bacteria do most antibiotics kill" you will find your answer, I did, began taking them, and now feel great. One suggestion if you do. I found they had more effect if you take it first thing in the morning, with sufficient water, when your gut acid is least active as there is no food to digest, and at least 1/2 before any food, to allow them to reach where they need to be. Don't drink any fluids whilst eating as this dilutes the same gut acid from effectively breaking down the food ingested. Leave it for over 1 hour after food before start taking fluids. Hope it helps as there seems to be no guidance on how to get the best effect from PRObiotics, even on the packaging.

I suffered Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for 11 years and more but when I took Multibionta multi vitamins, minerals AND a PROBIOTIC for 20 years until it disappeared from the shelves, I had such a wonderful recovery. Edit: The key and persistent symptoms of my Long Covid were severe fatigue and loss of appetite. I lost 50 to 60 pounds. I feared starving to death. I didn't mind the weight loss. Dear SD Zielinski, chronic inflammation due to viral infection might play a role. Many people do not know that they have HSV-1 (aka the cold sore virus), which is highly contagious, and ubiquitous in the general population (especially among older people, who've been exposed for a longer time). I saw the following in an article on the Healthline website: "If you have inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) - ulcerative colitis (UC) or Crohn’s disease in particular - you may have heard of a link to the herpes virus. To understand the link, it’s important to note that treatment for IBD often involves immunosuppressants. Suppressing the immune system can increase your risk of developing opportunistic infections. "One of these infections is the herpes simplex virus (HSV), and a complication of that virus for people with IBD is herpes simplex virus colitis. The herpes virus can cause further inflammation of the large intestine, exacerbating the existing bowel disease. "What exactly causes herpes simplex virus colitis? I saw that I forgot to mention lysine supplementation, so in case it might be useful to you some day, I thought I might add something on that. A health professional might be able to give the best advice, but speaking from a personal (general knowledge) standpoint it could make a difference, if a good lysine supplement was available (powder or capsules rather than tablets). However, I've read that too much supplemental lysine can be toxic, and if one is taking a certain kind of antibiotic (aminoglycoside antibiotics) at the same time, taking a high amount of supplemental lysine could lead to kidney failure. One should not take supplemental lysine for longer than 6 months at a stretch since it could cause liver problems. I think it's preferable to consume food sources of lysine, but I myself occasionally take lysine capsules when eating a high-arginine meal, because it helps. Supplemental lysine should always be taken together with something that contains Vitamin C, since Vitamin C aids its absorption.

I resolved my digestive issues after studying the microbiome. As a result I have found that I haven't been ill - not even a sniffle - for 7 years! I believe all vaccines should be administered orally and should be based on enhancing the activity of the microbiome. I believe all disease starts in the gut! All modern disease has been baked in since the advent of the industrial revolution and here we are sicker than ever. Thanks for reinforcing this message.

I have Ulcerative Colitis which is similar to Crohns but less serious. Over 5 months ago I had a procedure that required several courses of antibiotics BEFORE it could take place. This inflamed my U.C. to the extent I've had severe anal bleeding for 4 months. All Doctors could suggest were pain killers to minimize the inflammation and cramping but of course this didn't treat the cause, only reduce the severity of the symptoms. In desperation I researched "what specific gut bacteria were most damaged by the ingestion of multiple courses antibiotic?" Having got my answer from Google I sought out the specific probiotic and commenced its use. I doubled the recommended dosage for the first several days, then reduced it to 1 capsule as directed. If, after research, you decide to follow my actions, I would suggest that you take it at least 1/2 Hour before any food first thing in the morning (when the gut acid level is weakest), with at least a glass of water, this dilutes any gut acid that may kill off the bacteria of the probiotic. I don't take fluids with meals to encourage gut acid increase to help with digestion, and I refrain from fluids for at least an hour after meals. It's been 2 weeks since I started my own version of "the poor man's Fecal transplant" and it's working well, no blood loss, minimal pain etc. Hope it helps, Crohns is a lousy disease to have and it's about time the research assisted those that have it. I'm in Brisbane Australia and I understand there is/was a medical guy here who was doing these fecal transplants, successfully, 25 YEARS AGO. It takes forever for these things to be accepted by mainstream medicine, meanwhile patients suffer.

I have always put one horse plop in an otherwise healthy horses water bucket after it gets a course of antibiotics. I was told to do this by an old horse logger 54 years ago to help protect the horses gut bacteria. I’ve continued to do this if a horse is ever on antibiotics, and passed it on to liveries and at riding stables for years. So this idea has been about for a long time. I have an over-sensitive immune system and never had flu but also cannot have flu vaccines (including Covid vaccines, which is probably a good thing) due to bad reaction. I have always been this way. My husband has colitis and diverticulitis and knows that gut health is most important to keep it all under control. Recently he had some fast food and upset his system. Proof to keep the gut healthy.

I have U.C. and was prescribed drugs to control it, which my body reacted badly to. My G.P. then suggested Curcumin, which is widely used in South Africa as an anti-inflammatory/stomach cure all and it worked wonders until recent surgery required 3 continual doses of antibiotics. I've had to do my own research (Doctors only give pain killers and anti inflammatories), on what bacteria these antibiotics killed in my gut. After establishing what was killed off, I identified a Probiotic that had them and have had great success in reestablishing them. My bleeding has stopped (after 4 months), my pain is almost gone, and my energy has returned. Hope this helps.

Thank you both! I was tested positive for a yeast infection in the gut and treated with Nystatin and probiotics. It resolved crippling pain in my right hamstring. How am I sure - took Nystatin for one month and pain began to diminish at three weeks and gone in four. Stopped Nystatin and pain was back a week later. Went back on Nystatin for three months and the retest shows no yeast! The pain has not returned. 👍🏻

I’m so glad this topic is coming up. Stool transplant for c-difficile has been on the fringes for many years. I first heard about it ten years ago. I’m saddened that it’s taking so long to figure out and implement. It would save a lot of lives.

Dr. Campbell, thank you for this discussion. If I had waited to treat my micobiome - including with the butryic acid, I think I'd be a goner. I had used this treatment long before covid, because of the Dalkon Shield, which resulted in three hospitalizations for infection, peritonitis, and surgery (a mistake). I've been working on the microbiome for 50 years. And when I got covid-a three-day infection in 2023 that went straight to my intestines, I had to work for over a year for the balancing act to be effective. It's a full-time job to stay healthy. The right products are essential and individual, and the diet as well.

And I keep hearing how going on a carnivore diet dramatically helps people with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and irritable bowel. I wonder if this is due to how the microbiome gets altered.

I read about this work pre 2003 in Scientific American. That article has been memory holed. I tried, it's gone. There are dark forces afoot to keep this secret. There is a cure for many of these things just a trusted healthy friend away, no charge, no patent.....

This is so interesting to me because of my past illness. I got a very bad cold in January of this year and I totally lost my voice. It got a bit better but I was hoarse for 4 months. This was devastating because I have a part time job singing in church and was looking at no income. In May I went to an ENT and she gave me anti-acids because my stomach acids were creating mucus in my throat which made me hoarse. My pastor gave me a book that is called "Why Stomach Acid is Good For You" and I stopped taking the meds and started eating fermented food and taking everything I could get my hand on to fix the flora in my stomach. I am now finally getting better and my voice is almost completely recovered. You have no idea what it is like to be able to sing again.

As someone who has COPD , it’s the prospect of acquiring a chest infection that could result in being hospitalised that is a concern . The usual treatment is high strength antibiotics and steroids , but if it were possible to have a noninvasive treatment that would be a game changer in my case . It would be interesting to know if using a probiotic could help in preventing infection from becoming established. Obviously the correct medication would be preferable , but it looks like that might be some way off .

Ivermectin is a regular treatment to multiple millions of people in southern Asia and Africa as we speak. It's a cheap and well working treatment. Not profitable for the big pharma.
