I started my microblading business a few months before the COVID-19 pandemic happened, and my shop was forced to close for 3 months.
During this time, I actually GREW my clientele and once my shop reopened, my appointment books filled up.

Loving your channel so far! I'm in the early stages of starting my business (Phi - level 10). I'd love to see a video on how to find a space. I know you got your own but did you consider renting a booth from a spa or tattoo shop? That seemed like the less expensive option until I can get enough clientele. But I'm running into the problem of having to provide a resume and before/after photos. Any advice or thoughts on that would be appreciated. Also, your work is really nice! You're definitely a natural 🖤

Thanks so much Stephanie! Welcome to the world of PMU :) What an exciting challenge to have! It sounds like you're having some difficulty providing before + after photos since you're in the early stages, correct? If that's the case, I'm coming out with a new video this week all about how to build your portfolio as a brand new artist, so keep an eye out for that! In the meantime, I suggest providing any photos from your training (e.g. demo models that you practiced on) and if possible, recruit your family and friends to practice on and then use those before and after photos to submit with your resume. Hi 💕 I am 18 and live in Los Angeles, I don’t think school is for me although I do want to finish just because it’s secure, but I was thinking of starting a PMU business my goals are to work on my own hours, make more money hourly, travel, scalable business and have a fulfilling job. Is there anything you would say or give me in advance before I decide if this type of job would be for me ☺️
