Yes. This method can be applied after diluting your sample in sterile distilled water if the expected microbial count is low. But if the expected microbial count in your sample is high, then you have to follow different method as I have already uploaded for enumeration of E.coli, coliform & salmonella from different sample. The same procedure will be followed except DRBC agar plate should be used replacing the Chromocult Coliform Agar and incubate at 25 degree Celsius for 3-5 days. Total fungal colonies on membrane filter is the total yeast & mold.
