You are the only one who gets away with getting a gift, making us audition the gift, but not showing us the gift! But man besides how you control the MicroFreak over MIDI CC's already, the techniques used to make Berlin School pluckiness are just so great, I learn a lot from you, thanks!

If I showed you the synth I might be accused to somehow selling out. :P Honestly though, if I can't control the synth via MIDI CCs from my DAW, chances are I won't keep it.

@@synthseeker That is a fair way of making up your mind about the keepers. And I am pleased to hear you dive in immediately without first fiddling around with simpler features (let's say like I would do lol).

I bought my son a Micro Freak for his birthday. But he’s 7 and I think I should use it for a bit…. Just as he is a little young to full grasp the modulation matrix… 😉 you know, just to help him out! Thanks for another great video.✌️

Night owl here. Had to get up early today for a doctor's visit :( . Very cool video. Looking forward to the next installment. Already have a MicroFreak, so I would like to give this a go. On the Midi side I have come across Stepic Devicemeister as a software sequencer, but haven't purchased it yet. I was hoping they would offer a discount at some stage.

I haven’t looked at it but it’s very popular, Stepic. ;)

Thank you thank you! And I have always preferred strong hobbits to weak ones. ;) Although I find all hobbits excellent companions!

Always great to see how different folks achieve their results … I’m an early riser but usually for dog walking. But I have my WIP pieces on my iPhone and listen repetitively to get ideas…

do you use the effects like delay in 100% full mix? as the microfreak is mono but I dont hear him in the center. do you know if the new minifreak, which is stereo, can modulate "panning" by lfo?
@synthseeker Жыл бұрын
The delay effect is set to 57% wet and also in a ping-pong style alternating the repetitions left and right. :) I’m not sure if the minifreak supports panning, but you could download the manual and check? Thanks for the questions!

Very nice effects! I think the modulation runs also with internal LFO or other Synthesizers. But where do you get the whole plugins? I didn't found them in my Live 11 Suite and on the Ableton-Side also. Are they third party plugIns? I am interested in long time modulation over many bars, but don't no how.
@synthseeker Жыл бұрын
The LFO devices used there were part of the "Max For Live Essentials" pack that was available as add-ons for live 9 and 10, but are now included as part of Live 11. Go check your "packs" area in the library and I think it will just say "Download Pack" or something like that. :)

Thank you for the video! I’ve obtained very similar results. What patch are you using for the MicroFreak? This tutorial is the “hardware version” of Arturia Pigments 😂 Still, I learned a lot! Very cool! 😊
@synthseeker Жыл бұрын
The Microfreak patch was a custom one based on the modal engine. :)
@NexxuSix Жыл бұрын
@@synthseekerI dove back into the MicroFreak, and was able to come up with a pretty convincing Modal patch. I also found the CC and Patch Change controls on your other video. Thanks again!

@@synthseeker OK. I did just get the SQ64, but I need a sequencer! I actually just dragged my ESQ-1 out of the garage too (8 track sequencer in that bad boi). It weighs over 20 lbs, so it is less portable and more luggable. Oy.
