Have you ever tried apple cider vinegar in your hair?
@Danieei11 ай бұрын
I haven’t tried it yet. I’m one year loc but I’m going to wait until I hit 16 months.

I think using an actual shampoo will help with your hairs moisture issues. Dr.Bronners is a harsh soap not formulated to be used on hair, you might as well be using dish soap to wash your hair. It’s so alkaline, it’s undoing any pH balancing you gained from the ACV. Your hair would feel less stripped if you used a real shampoo.

Thanks for that, thats a good point!

I totally agree! When I feel like I need a stripping shampoo ( in the summer my locs get a lot of build up) I either add oil to the Dr. Bronners or do an oil treatment after washing. My microlocs are about 1 year old and bleached/ dyed. What shampoo would you recommend for clarifying and moisture retention?

Before getting my locs, my stylist sprayed half water, half apple cider vinegar with the Mother on my scalp & in my hair every 2 to 3 weeks before shampooing and conditioning. My scalp got really healthy. I stopped having any itching, and I had a very healthy appearance to my scalp. ACV is great for scalp health, whether you have loose hair or locs.

I had my micro-locs installed in March 2023. Won’t lie miss my loose natural but when I watch your channel I stay inspired. I use Taliah Waajid products. I spray my scalp and hair daily with Protective Mist Bodifier. Gives my hair a nice sheen and I massage it into my scalp. I use the Thick and Full shampoo. And I use the Crinkles and Curls for styling. I have these flexi rods for styling locs….gives my hair height and body!!love your channel!

I use ACV as a prepoo each time as well! I use a spray bottle to apply which I imagine may help with the the messiness you experienced!

Why didn’t I think of a spray bottle??? Omg you’re a genius thank you!

I fell in love with microlocs when I came across your pros and cons video. I love your videos. I initially wanted to go back home and get mine done in Ghana but things didn’t work out with my work schedule so I will be getting installed in 2 weeks. However, I’ve chosen sisterlocks but I still love your videos

Your locs are very beautiful. I have looked at a lot of your videos and wanted to know are your locs about the same size all around or do they vary? Also can you tell me what is the size of your locs? I am curious because I've been told that my hair is fine but kinky so I am debating what's a good size for me to install.

Hi Ifeyinwa. Great video as usual. Thanks for sharing. When do you think is the right time to start using ACV? I’m six months loc’d on the 15th of this month which is pretty young but the dust and heat in Abuja have been crazy! You know the Naija weather and dust conditions. What would you advise?

I'm starting my locs in about 2-3 months. I woke up this morning actually itching to get it done this week😅 but deep down I want a bit more growth before I do. I've been re-watching your microlocs videos since you loc'd. ❤

Urban Hydration Aloe and Cucumber Leave In is good. I know you said you want one that you wash out, but it's clear, and it has a watery consistency. Not too sticky.

Hair goals. Just a month into my locs journey. Would love a link to the hit oil treatment you mentioned. Also do you have any tips for itchy scalps as i am dying with mone esp after my first retie. I am currently only using water and peppermint oil essentials at the moment. Thanks for sharing x

Congrats on your journey! I shared my hot oil treatment in my braids video (about 3/4 videos back) I didn’t experience itchiness but I think peppermint/tea tree oil would help with that bit please do your own research I can’t say for sure.

Dr Bronners is too drying for the hair and scalp. You need an sls free moisturising/hydrating shampoo.

I have the same one, you used too much product. Yes your hair will be soft but over time it will have a gray hue to it.
@demureshanel11 ай бұрын
what will cause it to have a gray hue?
@fedelynedieujuste692411 ай бұрын
The product is so thick that it will look like it’s sitting on the hair.
