So happy to hear you say moisturizing daily is okay for your hair. My hair is 4c , extremely dry! I will add your practice of conditioner for 3min. I love you for sharing your practices, your Locs are thriving Sis. ❤️

Thank you so much! 🫶🏾 Yes I have to because my hair gets extremely dry too! Conditioner definitely will help out, but make sure it’s all rinsed out to prevent buildup. Do what’s best for your hair! 💕

Wow, I had a nightmarish flash back of being a “product junky” as a loose natural. 😄 For me, transitioning to locs took my products down to 3 staples… shampoo, water based leave in conditioner, and EVOO+essential oil mixture for scalp and hair. I have never used any products when getting reties and I’m 3 years in. My hair is thriving. Nice video though.

This is what I did when I had locs years ago. Dark and lovely peppermint shampoo was fantastic and creme of natute conditioner followed evo. Deep conditioner every few months. Not sure if the shampoo or conditioner still available.

I appreciate this video! My wife has scheduled a re-tie appointment with me this morning. (I’m her novice loctician 😊) I had seen how healthy your hair looks in previous videos and I was showing my wife. She just started her loc journey about a year or two ago. She trust me to take care of her hair so that we can save money which is a HUGE honor because she’s very picky and specific. The products that my wife and I saw in this video peeked our interest. So, we thank you again! 🙏🏽 These tips are going to bring me confidence with re-tying her hair and will give my wife confidence with maintaining her hair.

Not the algorithm hiding your video from me 🤦🏾♀️ i'm trying to find balance. My shaft needs moisture, but my ends unlock when I introduce moisture. Even after 2 years. My ends reverted to curls 😮💨

Oh No - is the twisting paste discontinued? The amazon link comes up "NaturAll Jamaican Black Castor Oil & Chebe Braiding Gel" and the Avocado & Kiwi Twisting Paste doesn't come up in Amazon search 😕

Keke, you REALLY got me thinking about installing these locs by my damn self, girl!! Question...When you installed your locs (2 strand twists) did you interlock them at the same time? Or did you wait until a couple weeks to retie/interlock?

She interlocked 2 weeks after. She did a video on it, planning to do mine myself as well so she’s my idol😊

I'm 2.7 years in. I wash every 8-9 days. That being said this has PRODUCT JUNKIE vibes. I use shampoo, watered down conditioner, sprit daily with homemade rosmary water, no scalp oil and super light serum 2-3 times between washes. I also shake my hair out 2-3 times per day. Cover hair with satin for sleeping , laying around and while cooking. Retwist myself wih Talia Waajid lock tight. Very light twist just to clean up. No updo styles for me. Too much junk in this routine. Defeats the pros. Walking around a month with this gunk in your hair is actually nasty. Again I wash my hair every 8 to 9 days and I use a fraction of this crap. Newbies move on
