Their District motorcycles seem very cool based on the specs and reviews I've watched. Seems like a great entry bike for urban riders used to e-bikes, in my opinion. Everything about it is exactly what the Sondors Metacycle was supposed to be, but Sondors failed to deliver on those promises and are now going bankrupt. The removable and swapable batters is absolutely a must so people can charge their bikes easier at home or work and upgrade in the future. Really great that Land Energy designed their bike so modular and easy to swap batteries and parts. Three things I'd like to see them improve on in later models, which the Fuell Fllow has and why I pre-ordered their motorcycle instead of the District Street. 1) Redisign the chasis so you have designated spot for secure storage more like a scooter. It's hard to use bikes as daily commuters with no built in secure storage space. Rear racks are not ideal. 2) Utilize axial flux inhub motors to eliminate the motor in the chassis and the chain. There's some suspension and gearing advantages to keeping the motor on board and the weight off the rear wheel, and Land Energy designed ther set up really well, but an inhub motor has significant advantages, including: a) Fewer mechanical parts that can fail and no maintenance. b) More open space in the chassis so you can keep the heavy batteries low to improve handling and add storage at the top. c) Easier integratation of regenerative braking and elimination of the mechanical rear break. 3) A slightly larger battery pack and more power so you can go 80mph+ sustained and really have a highway capable bike when you need to use the freeway for a few miles.

Love the land bikes! Just wish they had a pedal option to pass as an ebike. In California, can’t ride this in any mode without a motorcycle license, insurance and registration.

The battery tech is so far behind the motor/controller tech right now. The only way to get a fast charging bike is to fork over the same money as an auto it seems.

Completely agree, current gen battery tech leaves a lot to be desired 😭 I think battery swapping stations are the way to go for motorcycles, can be back to 100% in less time than it takes to fill up a tank of gas.
