Thanks God, I never had problems with microneedling. It is not microneedling; it is the product you used after the procedure.

My new dermatologist said the same thing, she thinks it was a reaction to the product used right after the needling. I’m glad you’ve had good results.

I had the same issue. Ruined my skin and has never been the same.

How long ago did this happen to you? Have you tried red light therapy? I did a short video on this and will do a follow up on my results soon. Red light mask video: kzbin.infoIgrNTA6BD8I?si=atR4IkfD1fXrgQas

It seemed like it was more like an infection.

My esthetician said it was an overreaction of the melanocytes which is a known risk for darker skin tones. It doesn’t happen very often. I think it was triggered by the serum used on my skin during the appointment.

@Chemeckia when I first started derma rolling I would put a serum or moisturizer after and my skin would flare up and take about 7 days to get back right. I just gave up doing it because I wasn't getting that glow everybody else was getting. Then I read somewhere that said nothing should be put on the skin immediately after dermarolling because risk of infection due to those channels being opened on your skin. It made so much since. So I tried doing it again but changed my routine. Before I derma rolled I still wash my face and lightly run alcohol wipe over my face to kill any germs. Then I derma rolled and do not put anything on my face until 24hours. I swear every since I started doing this my face has benefitted tremendously. I mean my skin looks very good and I get that nice glow within 2 days. And by the , you are so beautiful. God Bless.

😊😊Thank you so much for taking the time to share this! I’ve been debating trying it again so I’ll keep these tips in mind.

Thats crazy... ive really been considering getting the procedure myself and i know of Dr stephens as well. From what i understand she said that microneedling was fine for darker skin tones as well so its unfortunate you had that bad reaction.

@@johnewilliams7800 My new dermatologist even suggested I try it again with an updated technique. She would do a small spot test on the side of my face first if I decide to try it again and that seems like a reasonable way to reduce the risk of a major issue.

@@Chemeckia Do you think there's anything you could have possibly done to help prevent it like possibly a less aggressive serum?

@@Chemeckia Also what are your thoughts on RF microneedling and would u consider that? I've heard the results are better than regular microneedling
@Chemeckia6 ай бұрын
Definitely would use a different serum if I did it again. Some places also recommend that you apply hydroquinone for two weeks before the treatment so that might be something to consider. I’ve also heard that RF micro needling is more powerful but I haven’t done much research on the topic. I think Dr. Rajani has videos on RF micro needling though, might be worth checking out.

@@johnewilliams7800dr. Rajani does have a video on it like she says, he said be careful not to set the needle depth too deep because it can have a sort of melting affect on the fat beneath the skin
