A functional test and discussion involving a 28 range 4 function Micronta multimeter with a 10 megohm dc input resistance. Explains when an analog meter like this can be a better alternative than a digital unit!

From my teens, my last analogue meter. I dug mine out of the garage, thank goodness after 40 years neither of the batteries had leaked! Thanks for posting

These Micronta meters are great. Very underrated. And the option for centre Zero.

Thanks for explaining how to adjust the meter for a zero reading. No-one ever told me that I should do that - I wondered what that mirror was for.

love this meter, wish SIMPSON had a FET version 260p

As before, these videos are informative as well as useful to evaluate what you are offering. However, sharper close-up focus would be really nice.

Sorry. I use a flip video unit. It isn't the greatest up close, I agree. But it is very easy to use one handed and so far I have been happy with it overall. Maybe I can upgrade sometime.

bap8guy Nonetheless, although you show a lot of videos for your potential eBay sales, they are very informative and give one a great idea as to form and function of a particular unit. Tangentially, I have a number of Heath IG-102s that sucked swampwater when I picked them up at a swap meet (for around $0-5 each). I propose to convert them to FET and run 'em off of 9VDC. As you know, the will make perfectly acceptable bench generators and, at $60-75 each, are far cheaper than the grade Z Chinese stuff flooding the market. No HPs or AN/URM-25Ds but good enough.

I am an ameture at using the volt-ohm meter; I have a MICRONTA MODEL 22-220A. I was disappointed that you did't show your dial in this demonstration. Also, if a person doesn't have all your fancy equipment, isn't there an easier way to adjust the dial to see if it is correct? I wish that I could have had you explain each plug in. But, perhaps someone else has done that. Thanks

please, i need information about D1, D2, D3, D4 diodes values for a Micronta 22-210A, those are connected near from the galvanometer 37uA

I have one Micronta 22-220, is similar but mine come with buzzer for continuty. This meters come with fet input, they works very well but a good digital multimeter is better in every way.

Of course, the value of an analog meter is to "peak" circuits or DUTs. These are fine meters with decent FS accuracy.

Hello bap8guy, I have a Micronta 22-210 multi meter analog, you wouldnt happen to have a user guide for this model of mine or schematics? Thank You Much.

Is there any possibility to you to post a copy of the user's manual/schematics of this 22-208.. I have one that need repairs and any aditional information would be nice. Thanks.

close up focus is really fuzzy on this video, otherwise good.

Had he showed what he was doing, each step, this would have been a good video.

Don't think you need the repetition of each scale / measurement you showed here. Could have done the same demonstration in less than 10min.
