I'd been searching around for a calculation of compound interest and all the formulas I'd seen were based on yearly calculations, whereas I wanted one that is open ended. This is perfect. HI.. great video.. I do however have a problem I'm hoping you can help me with?? i have a formula created that work compounding my initial principle at 10% but once this calculation begins and I then want to ADD another amount paid the whole calculation is revealed as if both payments where mad on the same day so the 10% compound has assumed there was only 1 original payment as apposed to a sum being added later on down the line?????? sorry could not explain this better but I hope you understand.

I'm doing the same exact thing but I'm getting a different number for some reason. I'm doing a cell with $700 in it, multiplied by a cell with 10% in it, but I'm getting a result of $7000% for some reason.

Hi, I think that this calculator is not accurate enough to use for dividends, if we are talking about compound dividends? dividends are paid every quarter, automatically every three months the principle will increase if you reinvest the dividends back...

You can change the formula in the last cell to divide the interest by 12 to make it monthly for example =C7+(D7/12)
