I've the same program, I had the same problem with my program as you did. Tonight, about 4 hours ago I had an idea.. What if.. (I have a Winsters Docking Station) where I put my old hard-drive in to access files that was n my old computer. I wonders if I could get my computer to play the game after double-clicking on the app icon within the MF sim if it would work? I did! But when it crashed, I got the same black screen and the default Boeing sound, and controls appearing, then crashed.

I'll try your fix to see if it works....also have the WWII cd, a Sub program Silent Hunter?? FA/18 Hornet (aircraft carrier based) a tank program and a harrier Jump Jet Falkands war?? these were given to me by a work mate 6 years ago. They never worked on my very low spec comp, so kept them in case they worked on a future new 'High spec' comp..... yeah right!!!! Know any other fix if your fix doesn't work??? Thanks for any info. Glen

One reason would be that you haven't enabled compatibility mode for the program. 1) Go to C:\Program Files\ and look for the Flight Simulator folder. It might also be in C:\Program Files (x86)\ 2) Right click the program, and select Troubleshoot compatibility. 3) Click Use Recommended Settings. 4) Continue through the setup, and it should be set up. If not, your compatibility settings may not support programs as old as Windows 95. Hope that helps!
