As another poster mentioned, the horn is a stall horn. Yes ultimately it means you've exceeded your angle of attack but to keep it sime your speed is too low and the plane is about to enter an aerodynamic stall, which means it will stop flying and typically the nose will drop. You need to pitch down to avoid stalling, then set your pitch and speed appropriately so you don't stall the plane.

The Trim wheel is to help relive the pressure on the yoke and aide in straight and level flight. E.g if the nose of the plane is pitching up you would have to push down on the yoke to level the plane, however if you used the trim wheel and did nose down on the trim wheel you would no longer have to fight the yoke to keep the nose down and vice versa. Since you are in beginner mode the game is actually trimming the plane for you for straight and level flight. The horn noise you heard is called the stall horn. It’s a warning to the pilot that you are close to stalling the plane.

Yeah I knew the second you turned into rising terrain in a c150 that you would crash. That alarm is your stall horn. It’s saying you are going to slow. This is because you are trying to climb faster then that little airplane was meant to.

That beeping is stall warning. that means your air speed is too low. Your aircraft is losing lift. All you have to do is lower the nose with higher thrust setting until you build up your airspeed, then you will be fine.

That horn sound is the stall warning horn. Basically it’s telling you are exceeding the angle of attack on the wing. Ie getting too slow. Airplane speed isn’t throttle, its speed is determined by pitch. Think throttle for altitude, pitch/trim for speed and you’ll find it a lot easier to “fly”.

Dumb comment, Speed is determined by both pitch AND throttle. You won't gain altitude/lift without speed. You won't take off without speed + pitch. Throttle controls thrust which the plane cannot fly without.

To fly a plane though, which is what Ak was trying to help the poster with, you use pitch to adjust airspeed, and throttle to change altitude.

Noch etwas genauer gesagt: wie du dir vorstellen kannst, braucht ein Flugzeug, damit es fliegen kann eine gewisse Geschwindigkeit. Nur dann können es die Tragflächen in der Luft halten. Bei bestimmten Manövern verlierst du Geschwindigkeit, zum Beispiel wenn du die Nase hoch ziehst. Es gibt ein bestimmten Punkt ab dem die Geschwindigkeit zu gering ist um das Flugzeug in der Luft zu halten, dein Flugzeug fällt dann wie ein Stein aus der Himmel. Das nennt man stall (auf deutsch: Strömungsabriss) Wie die andern schon richtig geschrieben haben, warnt Dich dieser Ton, wenn du in die Nähe dieser Problematik kommst, also zu wenig Airspeed für Dein versuchtes Manöver hast.

I tried to use Microsoft Flying simulator on the Quest 3. I have the Steam version of the game so I use the Steam VR app to connect my computer to the Quest 3 and use the Sim on the Quest 3. But I have only like a Theater type of screen within the VR when in the Sim. Not a 360 view. How do you activated the 360 view on your Quest 3 for this Sim ?

MS Flight Sim will still be installed and run from a powerful PC as in PCVR. You use Meta Wireless Airlink, Wired Link or Virtual Desktop wireless to connect the Q3 to the PC to run MSFS. So if youre going to run a lot of PC games like MSFS or Steam then the amount of onboard storage is meaningless and a waste of money. If you play a lot of Meta games on the Headset stand-alone then by all means get the extra storage.

I have told you that you can go to Godlike with that configuration, my CPU and GPU are one step below both and I handle it without issues.

That may help with lower end pc’s but I haven’t found that to be the case with my i9 13900k/rtx4090. I’ve found I still get slightly better results with Link at 650mbps bitrate and at least as good wireless with Air Link at 200mbps Dynamic bitrate using either my Q3 or QPro (still my favorite PCVR headset). With my 4090 I don’t even bother using OpenXR Toolkit anymore. With msfs ultra/high settings and dlss/balanced, together with OTT asw off and 1.4x SS, and Oculus device graphics at 80Hx refresh plus res slider full right is get a very smooth 40fps even low flying a heli in NYC. Plus cockpit clarity as good as I can get with TAA/OpenXR Toolkit. This wasn’t the case with my old i9 9900k/rtx3090 btw. Main thing I’d like to say is that both wireless systems, properly setup, work very well so it really comes down to personal preferences imho. Saying one system is significantly better than the other is nonsense.

That’s not true mate. I upgraded my pc from i9 9900k/rtx3090 11 months ago to i9 13900k/rtx4090 and i got at least a 50% improvement in fps performance. The cpu is also important because msfs is still very poorly optimized for multi threading so you want the best/fastest cpu you can afford in order to get the best out of the 4090.

I have about 3 vr headsets, and I have to say the Quest 3 is incredible unless you have an Aero, BigScreen, or Crystal. For what you pay you get a headset that is it lightyears ahead of the Quest Pro for less than half the price. The AR aspect alone is worth it for flight simulators as you can see your home cockpit while flying a plane in mixed reality. Insane tech. Obviously I would have loved even more resolution and oled but it's really good.
