City Update 6 for Microsoft Flight Simulator is now available. Meanwhile Sim Update 15 has been announced to release on 30 April, whilst City Update 7 will be arriving in May. Here's all the latest details for the sim.

This is such a relatively minor peeve but: I still feel like all the trees in the game need to be like 66% of their size, at largest.

I don’t think it is a minor peeve. It has been the biggest realism-killer since at least Flight Sim 98! I have no idea how the giant trees have carried over for so long!

Accurate tree height is one of the most important things I want in a flight sim, especially grass strips and backcountry flying. Why would you want inaccurate tree height?

Asobo should then create much more Geograpichal (Terrain/Landscape) updates for Norway. There is many locations now in Norway that is covered with 1m DTM/DEM heightdata as well as LiDAR and DSM (DTM=Digital Terrain model - DEM=Digital Elevation Model - DSM=DIgital Surface Model and is data similar to what you see on google maps 3D) Norway is also offering everyone with LiDAR and DSM data for free. So if Asobo is not making more locations or better terrains/landscape for Norway, then at least anyone that want's to can DL the data for free and make it with the mod tool if that is allowing to alter the terrain/landscape tiles. As long as the data is setup with the same metadata information as the vanilla tiles are, they should just replace the old ones without problems. Unless there could be a seam break some places if the tiles can't be sharing and altering the tiles they connect to with the average XYZ transformation values on the vertices / Vertexes to weld perfectly to the higher resolution tiles....

What is it with all the A320s? Is it because it's easy to get access to the real thing? The full motion sims, maintenance hangars, engineers & pilots. We have the Asobo A320, Fenix A320, A320NX, LatinVFR A320 and now Inibuilds A320. I'm not complaining, just genuinely curious :)

Presumably city updates and aircraft will make a difference once the 2024 comes out, but really, 2024 is what's important.

@ObsidianAnt No idea whether your thumbnail is generated from AI, a real photo or straight from the sim, but regardless that's exactly what they need to do - notice the river in your image, its cut into the land and looks hyper realistic. Too much water in MSFS looks at the wrong level, like it floats on top, or looks like a bizarre scar on the surface with strange outlines. Water cuts into landscapes and creates fissures and "cuts" and is at a lower depth. Would be great if they could create an algorithm that drops the height by 1 metre where rivers and lakes are and then they may seem to "sit" realistically in the landscape. Its a big ask but I don't think I'm crazy.

I'm surprised that you feel the MSFS airplanes are expensive. The same airplanes are at least 10 dollars more in XPlane. Planes are at least 60 bucks in DCS. I've spent as little as 1.99 on airplanes. Two of my favorites, the RV10 and RV14, during the Christmas sale. Ive bought others for 9.99, 11.95...etc. And we got a lot of airplanes for free in updates. You don't have to break the bank to fly this sim.

3:10 I don't get why they make these like that instead of just pushing them through the conent manager right away. Too many people just don't know this and I've seen them flying around Cologne and Düsseldorf without the free official photogrammetry update a lot. Having to pick it up from the marketplace is a barrier and if you spent time and effort into it, you want people to have it and enjoy it, not them missing out on it simply because they have to opt in via the marketplace. 5:07 There is no fricken way! That thing has two Pegasi with 69kN of thrust each (just like the Harrier's predecessor, the Kestrel, but two of them). Nice, nice! And 8 RB162 with 19.6kN each for additional lift. Totally considering to get that aircraft. Those are the thing I want to fly in MSFS. Curiosities that actually existed or still do. Not the everyday's 737s, 320s and 172s.

This is progress with 2024. 2024 is just going to be 2020 with themed missions, something you got for free with FSX. Thinking 24 is going to be a transformation or even significantly improved is probably being hugely optimistic. Get ready for your $70 expansion pack.

I want to play so bad but this simulator has obvious performance issues for console and pc and its just not enjoyable anymore. It's a shame bc when it works, I'm like a little child at Christmas time opening gifts from under the Christmas tree but yeah.. the experience has been ruined for me.

I run a full cockpit 5 screens, 3 of these are full 4k and have little issues ( having to resize the screen to full screen every start up ) what issues are you experiencing? You get the old lag and stutters every now and then but I’ve seen that in every flight sim.
