The video running in the background on the presentation of the Fenix is a bit misleading, one might think those detailed effects are part of the aircraft. Those effects are not available in the Fenix by default. It's part of the Airbus effects addon made by Paralel 42 for which you also need their base addon SimFX. Just putting this out to people who don't have the Fenix A320 and see this.

PMDG 777 uses the same affects too. Fenix is the most detailed simulated airline aircraft in MSFS currently, period.

My comment is intended to prevent potential misunderstanding of features for the people who don't have the Fenix yet and might say something like "But where's my cool effects?" once they use it in MSFS and then proceed to go to Fenix support to ask.

Even the airplane showed in the video is not the fenix. Fenix is an A320Ceo and the video shows an A320Neo

I have to put the PMDG DC-6 somewhere, at least honorable mention. It is, after all, an airliner and it's very good. One of my favorites. Probably doesn't get the attention it deserves.

My personal list is Fenix a320, inibuilds a300, pmdg 737…..after those 3 it gets tough. But i dont think any other aircraft directly compare to those 3 right now. The 777 may, but I dont have it.

Fenix is on it. Its by far my absolute favorite. So consistent, has remote EFB and MCDU, GSX integration etc.

Nice review Shane for me No1 spot goes to PMDG DC-6 as it is an airliner even if its not a jet liner, Fenix is not my favourite plane sadly had too many failures with screens not working and park brakes not releasing for me its off the list. Inibuilds A300-600 has also become a favourite for me since their latest update it is awesome to fly now as well.

Realistically TFDI MD-11 is the only airliner on the list to have been built from scratch for MSFS basically completely fresh, everyone else on the list either ported or used existing assets. Upcoming too are BlueBird Simulations that are also building from scratch so only TFDI and BlueBird Simulations currently/upcoming with completely fresh project packages Aside from that, nice video Aus🫵🏼

@@originalmin nope they are a new development team but what is your point? TFDi have been around over a decade and their product's for P3D or MSFS are no where near Fenix level. However Fenix have programmers that are not new to flight sim that came from other development teams with years of experience flight sim programming experience so get some kind of clue on what you say.

I own the 739 and I got the 777. Worth the buy imo, completely different experience. The cockpit and flows are much easier than the 73x, the size of the airplane makes it different for flying, taking off, and landing. I'm not going to say that is worth the almost $80. I think $60 would have been better, but I just wanted the aircraft. I'll not likely get any other version of the aircraft, since the new versions will not really bring anything new to the table. The 300ER was the bestselling version of the 777 model line, but PMDG is planning a -200 and -F variant as well, if you wanted to wait.

Didn't even mention the maddog md80!? I know the textures and sounds aren't the best (there's mods for that) and its expensive but the systems simulation are perhaps second only to the fenix, also they still update and improve it. This are all good planes but omitting the maddog.....

Yeah i thought that until i was bought the fenix for my birthday and realised they are like night and day! Yes the FBW32nx is very good for a freeware ,but the Fenix is just on another level!

Just the same reason as people bought the A300 by Inibuilds instead of using the free Inibuilds A310 in the sim. More complex features that many people want. FBW is no where the level of Fenix for many users.
