I flew on an ex-Piedmont F28 a few times, operated by U.S. Air after they bought them out. I will have to check this one out!

Fokker was the plane that i most like when it was DA Fokker 100 (Digital Aviation) in which you can fly by cockpit sharing although it has "even" no Virtual Cockpit. Still I cant understand why any of airliner publishers not use this feature on their releases as DA did years and years ago. You were able to connect via FMC page by opening port on router. It was a little tricky but was working 10/10 in every aspects of airplane. That was real fun, again years and years ago.

I have the BAE 146 from JF and I’m just getting to grips with it. Needs constant care and attention to manage the speed (so, so different to the Airbus 320!) I enjoyed your video and can see a lot of similarities so I might just get the F28 when I’ve mastered the BAE. I’m of an age that I’ve actually flown in both aircraft and preferred the F28 (mainly KLM) as a passenger to the BAE 146 (Aer Lingus). Once again, great video presentation- thank you very much.

Very Enyoyable - thanks very much. I have considered purchasing the F28, but in reality want something a little more modern, so the F70 I am waiting patiently on..having flown the F70 on a previous simulator

Yes, the F70/100 on FSX back in the day was really nice!

What a beautifully modelled plane and what a great video. Nice and natural, without a huge injection of 'personal' that we see from some FS KZbinrs. Really enjoyed it and this vid has made me decide to pick this beauty up (it's 25% discount at Just Flight this weekend).

If you are using motion blur I suggest you turn it off when making videos as it is very hard on the eyes and spoils your otherwise great video.
@charlie7mason9 ай бұрын
That's not motion blur at all. It's something like AFMF or Frame Generation which generates additional frames from those already present, but the transition introduces a kind of morphing blur very different from motion blur.

Im an ex-Piedmont / US AIR tech. I'll never forget when we first got this aircraft...than performed Avionics/Electrical mods. Loved working on them! But the PIT POOP HEADS got rid of them long before they needed to go!

F28 is one of the best in my opinion. I hope at some point someone makes a Your Controls profile for it so we can fly it in shared cockpit mode!

Good work mate ! Happy to see GPS not in use, the way to go. I need to take my F28 out for a spin as well. Thx for sharing !

I am glad I just got this through the spring sale! I’ve got a lot to learn since this is what the second study level that’s a definite classic! Not modern, but a classic to where it’s old school flying! The sounds are a 100% spot on, the engines are turbofans! The controls are definitely gonna be very interesting! As far as the flight plan, does the electric pad punch in the routes through simbrief and the waypoints/legs? This is so different from the other study levels I’ve flown on

When you find yourself a few knots too fast on short final, don't mess with the engines: split the tail! And it works best when you can assign the speed brake to a lever axis, not a switch.

Great video (and aircraft). I believe the Spey engine is a Turbofan rather than turbojet as they are low-bypass.

How dare you accuse my fiance, the BAE-146 of being a little user unfriendly! Oh the horror! (Great vid, thank you)

Don't talk about my bae' like that, she just requires users of high intellect! She has good taste for pilots.

I found the analog indicators, like airspeed for instance, very small. It is difficult to read them.

I’ve tried flying this. The gps/vor nav on autopilot is buggy for me. Sometimes gps works fine sometimes vor works fine.

Speys aren't turbojets, neither are JT8Ds from the 727 and 737. These are turbofans, just low bypass one, where most of the thrust comes from the jet, not the fan like in modern turbofans. You can easily identify that it's a turbofan because it has HP (N2) and LP (N1) rpm gauges, whereas a turbojet, like JT3D or Turbomeca Marbore, has only one spool and only one RPM gauge

i don't mind seeing the whole video without the jump cuts

The Spey is a low bypass turbofan, not a turbojet.

Not yet but I believe Just Flight are working to get this out on Xbox too.

The F28 is the one 'modern' Fokker airliner i'm not familiar with. The flight and engine instruments look verry simular to later Fokker-F27 versions. Why does it say N8TV while the registration says N58FK ? btw the guy who registrated this callsign did not do his homework completely !!! FK stands for Frits Koolhoven, another Dutch Aircraft company
